I seen that as well ... he does mix it up a bit ... where he would throw a straight punch and follow it by a wild punch ... or vice versa ... he's okay but i'm not a big fan of his.
Hey, brother....this isn't dancin with the stars...this is a tough sport. if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but from reading news articles and people here on ESB i get the vibe that the only reason pepole may have scored the fight for Froch is based on the fact that he came to "fight". Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this sport called BOXING. You can want to "fight" all you want but if you cant box worth a **** and CLEARLY get OUTBOXED, then I dont know about you, but I believe you lose. Dirrell may have held extensively, but Froch, when he wasnt punching air, was hitting Dirrell with rabbit punches. He was frusterated because Dirrell wouldnt sit in front of him and eat haymakers like all his other opponents have done. Given that it was in England and Froch was the champ, Dirrell should have had the mentality that he needed to win by either a wide margin or a KO, but the fact of the matter is he WON, regardless of the margin. And for the Froch nuthuggers who call Dirrell a ***** and a runner makes yall look even more stupid because if he is so much of a ***** and a runner, why did he outland froch and almost have him crankin that Zab Judah.
Froch was using these illegal tactics as if was completely normal! As if he beforehand knew that the ref wouldn't say something anyway. He did it so blatantly! This is just wow, unacceptable. I would expect this in some sinister fight somewhere in the south of Italy, but in THIS quality, commercial, big staged tournament!!?? I'm in disbelief..
I was rooting for froch to begin with. But that fight killed his image for me. I hatted Andre for the past fights I saw of him in showtime. But that fight will make me want to root for him. Aslo like Abraham. I want him to win the whole thing. I just don't like that fact that he always uses how town advantage. Abraham is pretty good, and don't need that. The ref don't need to be the third fighter. I saw a couple of good body shots what was warn for low blow.
Body slamming is allowed in the UK, that kinda **** goes ruff house, come on you saw Benn vs Gman you saw Hatton vs Tszyu
That's what really puzzles me. He had Taylor wobbled and hurt earlier in the fight, but seemed in no rush to end it. It was like he knew that he could take him out later. The fight could have gone to the scorecards if not for that 1-2 with seconds to go. I really don't know if he just knows what to do and when to do it, or if it's really a gamble. Maybe if he fought outside of germany like against Miranda he'll only use 2 rounds to read his opponent and then open up, but the calmness about him is really something to admire, and it just makes me think of the time when he fought with a brokes jaw (it broke in three places). This guy is a though SOB!
i totally disagree.... The AA vs Taylor fight was a good scrap and ended well (well... bad, but you know what i mean) Just because Froch vs Dirrell wasnt that good doesnt mean the whole first leg = a complete farce
