Froch vs Dirrell = Lacy vs Calzaghe

Hatred of Euro fighters is gaining momentum.

 

No way is this fight as big as Calzaghe - Lacy. Calzaghe - Lacy had everybodies mouth watering. I dont think anybody is gona be quite as hyped as Lacy for a while.

Also Froch is no Calzaghe.

froch and calzaghe are different entities when it comes to styles,im expecting a froch KO mid rounds here not an exhibition like the lacy fight was

I agree, Froch will catch a beatdown of Calzaghe/Lacy proportions.

 

I like Froch. I really do. He came to America, infront a hostile crowd and beat a fairly talented fighter in Jermain Taylor. He has great, heart, great chin, and great fighting instincts. However he just doesnt have the natural talent to be an A level fighter. And once he gets into the ring with a guy who is just as skillful as Taylor, but smarter, more dynamic and better stamina he's going to get punished. And im sorry but that fighter is Dirrell to a T.



The only similarity between Calzaghe and Froch and Lacy and Dirrell is nationality and skin color. In reality Dirrell is closer to the level of CAlzaghe and Froch is closer to the level of Lacy.


You will see come the night of the fight.

 

I wondered how some of the judges would score the later rounds in the Froch/Taylor fight. At least one judge was seeing Froch as more effective. Taylor seems to get points for 'pretty' even when taking more damage.

 

Froch was getting beat Pillar to Post against Taylor before JT got gassed. Froch may win, but it will not even be in the same realm as Calzaghe/Lacy.
