The punch stats are on Boxrec. Read them for yourself, and Boxing News and The Ring Magazine both scored for Froch
I read something about those farced numbers. I watched the fight, twice. I know who got whooped and looked like a fool. It wasn't Andre. Froch got a gift...1 that he won't get in a return bout. :bbb
IMHO I think the "leap" is the win over Abraham coupled with the close fight with CF. I do think AA was slowly catching up to him but to that point AD put a thorough clinic on AA. Movement, pot shots, body work, mental maneuvering, etc... AD was putting it on him. Now I think that if CF can pull off a win over AA and judging by CF's style it will be much more decisive, I think that he will more than deserve being placed above AD. Until they meet again or more super six shenanigans take place.
A gift when Boxing News and The Ring both scored for Froch? I think it was a fight that could be interpreted different ways, but not a gift
I respect you opinion (agree with the first paragraph) but i must ask one question. What will be exposed? When someone is truely exposed there is something shown or a strategy used that they can't adapt to. Fighters like dirrell don't get exposed. They just lose. If Dirrell loses then it will just be that, A Loss. There will not be something shown that someone can do to beat him. He will just lose to someone executing a little better. When someone is exposed then everyone with the same physical tools can duplicate the strategy to beat them. That will not be the case with Dirrell. A fighter will just have to be better than him on a particular night. You acknowedging that they are of simular skill level shows you understand how skillful both are. I feel dirrell will seperate himself from ward in the overall skills and attributes department when they meet. I don't think wards style will be good for someone as fast and accurate as dirrell. I think ward will have a problem. Dirrell learned alot in the froch fight, and what he learned is few people can deal with that type of ability being aggressing. I have that feeling that ward will have more trouble dealing with dirrell than dirrell will have dealing with ward. I don't even know if ward will be able to take dirrell's power when he consistantly lands. I don't know how ward will deal with going from having a big speed advantage against everyone to fighting someone with more handspeed then himself. It's gonna be a great fight that I think will be one of the best of the year along with the other S6 match up between AA and Froch. NOV 27th is gonna save this year of boxing.
Black Americans are generally superior to White Englishmen at Boxing. Ask Hatton how the turnbuckle tastes. :rofl
Biased reporter types may let their scoring slip because they want more action. Andre won every early round. Slick defense and landed more punches. Froch had a couple good rounds later but only after he muddied the waters and started bar brawling. That was 1 of the worst ones for me. Opening the Super 6 with a BS decision. Thank God Andre still had the tourney to get big fights. Outside the Super 6 that robbery would have crippled his career for awhile.
At the fight I scored it 116-113 Froch (remember Dirrell got a point taken away too) but I knew it would be a split decision.
In a few years Froch wont even be able to carry Dirrell's jock strap. A green Dirrell with no professional experience past 10 rounds prior to the Froch fight had him doing the stanky leg and showed him for the low skilled bum he is. There is nothing Froch does better the Dirrell. Froch hasnt hurt one fighter in the Super Six, infact he's been hurt twice. Im not even sure he hits as hard as Dirrell. Abraham is going to mutilate him.
If Ring scored the fight for Froch then why did every ring writer after the fight say that Froch got a gift? Why was every article about how Dirrell was robbed of a victory. One writer even claiming that the ref had to make up NEW rules so Froch could win. :rofl
