    Humour me here.....

Assume Froch says he is back in training, really hungry and is more motivated than he as ever been before, the reason is a match up with GGG. The match gets made, does he realistically have ANY chance at all of upsetting the Kazak applecart ?

In my view the upset would be Froch losing. 5' inch reach advantage against someone like Froch would be be insurmountable even for somebody of Golovkins ability.

I guess it never really proved too much of an issue for Tyson, he seemed to be able to find a way in however long the arms or stiff the jab. He not cut for the same cloth ?

Prime Froch beats him. Not sure now though.

Froch was contemplating returning about 2 months ago. I reckon this was because GGG finally made it into ppv. He always said he would need it to be ppv in america if he was to face GGG. So he was thinking he could get a massive payday against golovkin. His biggest ever. If he won his legacy would be unreal. If he lost, no shame cause he hadn't fought in two years and GGG is an amazing fighter. But since GGGs ppv only did like 100,000 buys he will obviously won't be on ppv again for a bit until he gains a bigger following. (Canelo aside). So I reckon this is why he all of a sudden did a u-turn on his comeback.

I'd give him a chance but would favour GGG, Froch would last the 12 though. Not sure I want it to happen cause if GGG does win & convincingly it will be put down to Froch no longer being prime and the last thing I wanna hear is him whining about how he wouldn't have lost 5 years ago.

I genuinely think Froch wins even now, he's too big for GGG. Would be such an intriguing fight.

Until retirement, if made at 168 I'd fancy Froch.

Big GGG fan but Froch would too big, too tough and too fit

The same prime Froch that lost every meaningful fight he had?

I don't know who's win but If you take ggg versus Murray, add the fact Froch is bigger, stronger, more powerful, bigger reach, better stamina and a better chin I think he really pushes Ggg harder than ever. Ggg could afford to box on the front foot as he knew Murray couldn't hurt him but it would be different with Froch. I think it would be a great fight and very interesting. If I had to have money on it I would go for Froch. I think he has been inactive too long though so he should just knock it on the head.

Size alone does not win fights.

Froch has durability and chin to his advantage.

What that means at this stage is he takes a longer beating.

I think GGG would beat any version of Froch.
