Froch has even said before he would drop down to middle easier and be more affective than move up to lhw!!

I'd have to pick Froch at this point in time based on what they have both accomplished as pro's and the size advantage but I would be rooting for Golovkin and he most likely has more than we have seen so far.

I have no doubt that Golovkin is quality at middleweight against fellow middleweights and blown up light middleweight's but fighting Froch is completely different. Look at who Froch has fought compared to Golovkin and look at Froch's natural size and strength advantages and I can't see how people make Golovkin favourite. Can Golovkin take a shot from Froch? We don't know but we know that Froch would stand up to Golovkin's power a lot more than what Macklin did. Golovkin has been fighting blown up light middleweights not big strong super middleweights like Froch.

Froch smashes this kid up then the kid gets called a bum. Froch gets no credit, none.

Golovkin was an excellent, excellent amateur and technically is very, very good. People ignore his boxing ability because of his punch power, but put him in the ring with Froch and he will outbox him all night.

Everyone knows what Carl will do when he enters the ring, he doesn't have the ability to put together a plan B.

i feel Froch would win with the jab alone. he'd keep GGG off balance and not let him get set.

if you stand your ground with GGG and not go on the back foot to let him get momentum and find angles, you can make him look very ordinary indeed.

don't think they'd be a stoppage though. unless Carl wanted to put the finishing touches on the performance, but that would be quite risky and allow GGG the chance he doesn't deserve.

    Froch by clear decision.

really hope this fight comes off. the Chavez fight makes no sense what so ever.

Are you saying that GGG can overcome the size difference with his better boxing ability or are you saying that there isnt a size difference at all?

All I'm going on is that I've seen Froch next to Barker and Murray and Froch is a lot bigger than both of them (and they are at least as big as GGG).

Why should GGG take on a much bigger man and risk a stupid unnecessary loss because of it? I dont think this fight makes sense for GGG.

From what I can find out this fight will probably not happen. If it does, Golovkin would run circles around Froch, he had 350 amateur fights. I would really like to see Froch rematch SOB Ward in neutral territory...............Could be that Golovkin will fight Chavez, Jr., but they really want to fight Martinez or Quillin ASAP..................

Agree with this, good examples.Further back,Terry Downes tackled Willie Pastrano, who had fought at heavyweight, with some success.I do think Froch is a bigger man,but this would help even it up somewhat in my opinion. But firstly,I can't see it happening now and second I think Froch would lose. If,however,it did and Carl won it could make people who think Calzaghe the better boxer revise their opinions, including myself.
