Though I do give you credit for not saying KO. GGG for me has huge question marks and even though Froch is old it would give us a good idea of how he would perform at SMW and I will give him full credit if he wins. I know Froch isn't Froch of the Pascal fight BUT the same reasons why I give Froch an edge would be the same reasons I give GGG credit if he gets the win.
The size advantage might save eurolevel caveman Froch from getting ko'd, but it won't save him from a serious beating.
These guys both weigh the same amount on fight night, there is no size advantage. The only difference is that one of them is a very excellent boxer with an extremely difficult style, and the other one is a really good conventional fighter. Golovkin marches right through Froch early K.O.
Can't see how GGG gets past the 5inch reach advantage, though Froch carries his lead hand low his jab is still decent. Golovkin would have to ship to much punishment to get in range.
GGG would knock Froch out silly. If groves who's not even an elite puncher can knock Froch down, GGG will destroy him.
George has a 70% KO ratio, he couldn't KO Froch, Glen Johnson and James DeGale. But they all have pretty good chins, as far as Christopher Rebrasse goes that was his first match back and he probably didn't want to take any risks and Rebrasse had never been down and is a decent fighter.
This would be an awesome fight if it happened but it's a big if. If the Ward fight happens and Froch loses would Golovkin's team still want the fight, cash wise it makes sense but Froch could be seen as damaged goods if he loses comprehensively to Ward again. If the fight does happen it's going to be a war for sure. This won't be like Froch/AA with Golovkin hiding behind a high guard and barely throwing a punch as he's kept away with a jab. GGG doesn't mind getting hit and he cuts off the ring as well as anyone so he won't have an issue getting to Froch. Can Froch who has shown a tremendous chin, heart and powers of recovery withstand the kind of punishment GGG can dish out and fire back? If he can, can Golovkin take shots from the hardest puncher he has faced in the pro ring? This would be a battle of attrition and wills, an immovable object vs and irresistible force. I'm torn by who will win. Golovkin has the technique and skills to get to Froch and put a worse beating on Froch than Groves did in their first fight. But how will those extra 8lbs effect the fight? Will Froch smile back from Golovkin's best and punch back or will he be hurt? When Froch hits back can he hurt Golovkin like he has so many others? I can't pick a winner but if forced to I'd go with experience and proven quality in Froch.
Froch looks to have better one punch ko power than golovkin.golovkin usually finishes fighters with a series of punches where as groves is knocking out bigger men with single punches
Who has groves knocked out? Have those opponents been knocked out before? Don't get me wrong Groves does have decent power, and his power was probably better under Booth, but in no way is he an elite puncher. He hasn't stopped one decent opponent besides arguably Paul Smith who was stopped by Degale already. I don't even think highly of Smith, but I put him in there since there's no one else that's decent.
Well let's compare Paul Smith just went to war with a diminished Abraham twice, Abraham threw everything but the kitchen sink at Paul and couldn't KO him. James DeGale got him out by the ninth which was actually kind of a British stoppage by everybody's least favorite ref Howard Foster, Saint George put him down and stopped him more legit than DeGale in 2. Froch has a great chin probably far better than Murray and he ran right into a Marquez Pacquiao shot that would have KO'd most normal people. in fact I think was KO'd and woke back up when he hit the mat and popped right back up and wailked through about 100 more bombs flush and stopped Groves, that's how badass Froch is.
