Groves had a great start to round 9 so he wasn't all that tired. Yes he got hurt in that round but not every time a fighter gets hurt does he get stopped. Froch is a good example of this and Groves in previous fights has been hurt but gone on to win.
He's gone 12 rounds twice and his tank was empty when it was against someone who didn't qualify for a free bus pass. He could barely walk. He would've been stopped 'legitimately' if the ref had let the fight go on for another 20 seconds. He is in serious trouble come Saturday and he knows it.
1) he's likely overtrained and exhausted, so desperate is he to win he's doing the only thing he knows what to do, and that's grind away like a madman in the gym. only problem is, his physical condition is not the reason he got beat up. 2) which is of almost no use as he's shown no capability of adju5ting, he's nearly always the same old froch 3) employing a dedicated S&C coach is a good idea in my mind 4) he can take a punch, but he couldnt take Groves punches in the 1st round last time could he 5) he has gone 12 rounds previously, and will again if he needs to 6) only person that got put to sleep last time was Froch. he woke up again, but he was flattened and in dreamland for a while there. no reason why groves wont do it again
1) Overtraining is tremendously overstated concept. However, itll be the ginger who's more likely to overtrain himself as he's desperate to match the Cobra's awesome natural fitness. 2) Well he knows he doesn't really need to adjust. Groves's 'power' has been massively exaggerated, other than the 'perfect storm' of round 1 he never looked like going down. He knows George will gas. He knows George is a coward. He knows if it goes past round 6 there will be only one winner. 3) Ok. Carl's decision to see the shrink has given him the edge. George is really worried about, he is borderline obsessed with Carl seeing the psychologist for some reason. 4) The flash knockdown was down to Carl being too gung-ho, getting caught with the left just before walking on to the right which was in pretty much the perfect place. It never looked like happening again. Which would be HUGELY worrying if I were a George fanboy. 5) He's gone 12 rounds but obviously didn't like it. with Froch wearing him down from round 7 he simply won't last. 6) Carl's head never touched the canvass so it was a VERY short sleep Only one winner. This time there will be no lucky first round and it will look like the mismatch we all thought it was originally.
Very hard to call but i'm going for Groves points, i think this come out fast stuff is a bit of bluff from Team Groves, i expect him to pace himself far better box off the back foot and counter punch Froch, use his movement to stop Froch from being able to barrel in on him. Groves can't be stupid if he get's drawn into a brawl then i'd favor Froch to grind him down, i think Groves has the temperament to stick to a plan and win over 12 rounds.
1) Overtraining is very real. At Froch's advanced age, the effects of which will only be more dire. Injuries are more likely to occur and on behindtheropes we've seen evidence of that with Froch's arm being strapped up like a mummy. 2) You don't know squat about boxing do you? Froch's footspeed and handspeed make it difficult for him to apply pressure on someone like George. If Groves doesn't overextend himself like last time, he will have more in the tank. To call Groves a coward is just sheer delusion, the number of times he went toe to toe with Froch in round6 should show you that he's no coward. I don't even know why i'm dignifying this tripe with a response. 3) A shrink has given carl an edge how exactly? Carl has never before struggled to perform and has always been fairly 'switched' on. A grown man of 37 seeking a shrink to help him reeks of desperation. 4) Ugh. A flash knockdown is a knockdown from which you recover immediately. Froch was stumbling around afterwards for quite some time. 5) Yeah because somehow everything will be the same in the rematch right? Groves hasn't gotten stronger, won't change tactics up or anything... right... 6) Watch the replay if you haven't seen it. Froch was completely unconscious.
1) It's real (i suppose) but very rarely happens and the effects are overstated. And like I say it's the ginger who's more likely to overtrain. 2) You're implying Carl had no success at all. Groves face was bashed up by round 3. He melted in round 8, he literally RAN towards the corner. I have never seen this from any fighter. He was hugging Carl as soon as he got hit every time. When the ref didn't save him first. 3) He's more relaxed, more focused, not wasting energy on Groves. And it's got in to the ginger's head, he's obsessed with it. 4) He was perfectly ok by the end of the count. 5) It won't be the same. No flash knockdown this time. Groves will be exposed. 6) No he wasn't.
Pointless arguing with you Kahuna, you are delusional, fail at reading comprehension, still in denial about what happened the first fight, clearly don't know the first thing about boxing and are a hopeless froch fanboy. Keep your senseless comments to yourself
Groves wins this one by KO , thats where my fifty notes is goin , Better Boxer ,Faster Hands, Footwork, Power , i just cant see Froch winning this fight
