Good news - Big Mick must have been listening to me asking him to raise his game. Kudos to Trash Talkers inc (a.k.a. Hennessy Sports)
There was talk of ITV ditching boxing not so long ago so this really is great news. Well done to Hennessy for securing some valuable exposure for his fighters. Wonder what Warren will make of them working with a rival promoter and not exclusively with SN for the Khan fights?
I think he won't be best pleased! If Froch wins, the fact that the fight was on ITV (free to air) will increase the chances of Froch being listened to when he calls Calzaghe out!:-(
Maybe, hopefully the fans will know the difference In talent between Joe and Carl though. That said though they barely saw the talent between Ricky and Floyd.
They won't see the difference. To realise that, just look at what some of Froch's fans on ESB say about Calzaghe v. Froch, nevermind those who are casual fans. Froch fans will say: "Yeah, Joe is more talented and a better boxer, but Carl has got a murderous punch and sooner or later, he would catch Joe flush...Froch has a very good chance! Joe won't be able to stop Carl because Carl has an iron chin, so it won't matter that Joe will outpoint him round by round, as long as Froch lands the money shot! Froch KO 9!" You'll see!:deal
Froch ducked Bute to fight a guy Bute gave a beating too as well. Calzaghe would do another Lacy performance.
the links down at the moment, but i take it from the comments that ITV have bought rights to the fight? any word on them signing a deal with hennessey?
Looks like a one off deal for the Froch fight (and undercard) http://www.hennessysports.com/Article.asp?art=482 The Hennessy 'portfolio' of fighters does not look very impressive. Apart from Witter and Froch they are all UK level fighters. Don't know why Herbie Hide is still listed, I though Hide was signed up with one of the German promoters.
