A more confident Kessler wins an even wider decision. It's stupid how people always pick the guy who lost to win the second fight. The guy who won, will learn from the first fight too.
true. but each fight is different and were all second guessing who will adapt and who won't. Rematches are different depending on what type fight it is. This will be a slugfest. Kessler and Froch know it.
I'll take Kessler again, he won the first fight because Froch couldn't push him back or sustain the same workrate. The only question mark for me is how much the on/off "volcano" saga affected Froch, it was a lot less of a problem for Kessler as he was at fight location and didn't have all the travel aggro.
Kessler won a very close fight, but in a return a I can see a more fired up Froch taking it. I was very impressed with Froch's jab in that fight, a factor many people overlook. And he landed the bigger shots throughout. His problem was he allowed Kessler to take the fight from him on workrate. If Froch upped the ante in a rematch I see him taking it by 2-3 rounds.
Agree 100% Froch ain't beating Abraham first and foremost, in fact he's getting sparked. Kessler would beat him again. Why? He ain't stupid.
You're right, which makes it all the more amazing that the vast majority of people always go for the guy who lost the first fight.
It's also more common for the winner of the original to win even more clearly in the rematch. But that fight might have taken something out of Kessler in fairness.
Froch can get through even if he loses, if Ward beats Dirrell. Kessler would still win a rematch though.
