Literally rewatiching this. Two warriors but technically ****ing poor. Groves would demolish both. Don't be fooled by the sky bollocks. Merry Xmas mother ****ers
If Groves don't get Froch rematch would be nice if he stopped Kessler In Denmark After an ash cloud Froch would say " Kessler was damaged goods and my ash cloud was thicker "
I agree,Froch is technically poor, average footwork, throws a lot of arm punches, stands square on a lot but it shows how good he is to get away with having all that,no point in Groves and Kessler fight,if he wins Froch will just say he beat an old Kessler who he had finished..
Kessler is a curious blend, he hits hard and fast and accurately, with good combos. Hes got the offensive skills, no doubt. unfortunately he often seems to lack adaptability or a plan B. And he also strikes me as to be overly confident to the point of stupidity - accepting fights abroad without question and proceeding with fights even with injuries. Physical stamina might be an issue too.
Kessler now is not the 06-08 version. He wants to make money and why not - you're a long time retired etc etc blah blah. I'd rather see Groves fighting any of Froch's mooted next opponents. Chavez Groves is a much more interesting fight. Groves Hopkins, much more interesting. I hope Froch bases his decision on payday alone and goes for the Groves rematch. If he loses? Guess what.... the decider should rake in a few quid.
Plan Bs has always been for Kessler. Since he got Montoya gave him more tools. Ward was a stupid fight (At least in hindsight) I agree, but that is 20/20 as we know. A part of me would have liked a Dawson fight more instead of Froch II, but more money in the latter.
You got to remember Kessler is shot to **** now and the Kessler who fought froch in may was not the Kessler joe beat in 2007
I think Kessler 5-7 years ago would stop Groves, don't underastimate Mikkel when he was injury free and sharp.
Froch should rematch Groves..................Ward said he would like to fight Groves. (It would have to be in Ward's home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc.)
I've never got why people say this. Kessler isn't shot at all, he showed that when he demolished Magee who is still a very good boxer and, with his performance against Froch. He's not as good as he once was, but to say he's shot to **** is pretty ridiculous and moronic.
