after watching both fight the past two weekends, who do you like in this matchup? give me froch by a very close decision. he's on a mission right now after losing to ward. love watching him fight.
The thing with the Bute fight was that he held his right hand down low and allowed Froch to dictate the pace of the fight by shooting his jab down on Bute and wouldnt allow him to start putting punches together, Bute had umpteen chances to land that left hook but he was too reluctant and showed next to no head movement With Kessler, he was coming off a long layoff and its hard to tell whether it was ring rust or just that he is past his prime due to him being dropped but he came back and landed one hell of a left hook to put Green out Personally im going with my heart on this one and say a Kessler UD (unless some home cooking becomes a factor) but Froch could very well drop Kessler this time round, he was able to pressure him early on in their first fight All I can say for certain is that this will be an even better fight than first time around and a great fight for the fans
If the fight happens it most likely will be in Britian and lets be honest that makes it tough for Kessler right away.
With no home-cooking involved, I believe Kessler is tough enough and skilled enough to beat Froch again - perhaps even by wider decision the second time. I'd never count out the Cobra though - not betting involved on that fight!
Froch showed Kessler too much respect last time and evidently there was no way he was walking away with a points decision in Denmark. He should've gone for broke. UK scoring is more accurate in my opinion so I think it will be much closer 2nd time should they fight in England. Could still go either way.
I dont care how average Green is, the one thing he does and does well is hit hard. I think we can forgive the rusty inactive super middleweight for being buzzed early by a hard hitting if slightly average light heavyweight.:good
After their first fight, I always thought Froch would get the upperhand in a rematch. Kessler, to me, seemed like he came off worse despite winning. I'm not sure his paper skin will hold up well against a fired-up Froch - especially if it's in Nottingham.
Agree completely, barring the awkward 1st couple of rounds Kessler appeared to regain a touch of the old distance control and timing that made him such a highly skilled athlete a few years ago. Montoya and Kessler still have a bit of work to do but if they can build upon the Kessler performance against Green then i think he could possibly beat Froch again.
Kessler is easier to hit than Bute. Froch and Kessler are equal in power, but if Green can hit and hurt Kessler, Forch will blow him over with his new found confidence. Forch by brutal KO.:deal
Froch wins in a close fight. Froch is full of confidence and will be alot more fired up for this rematch
