As much as I would love to see a Froch v Groves rematch, I just can't see it happening. In my opinion, Froch and Hearn will take the easier option in fighting Kessler at the City Ground (Nottingham Forrest stadium) or at the Nottingham arena. If Froch wins then I think he would retire while Eddie Hearn brags about him being the best British boxer ever. I really do hope I'm wrong as Groves really does deserve it but I don't think Froch will take it.
I have no idea about boxing finances to be honest but isn't Froch vs GG a bigger money fight? I would guess so? I just cant see Froch refusing the rematch, he can't justify not giving GG another shot, and if he fights Kessler pre rematch that would be suicide.
Not sure he'll dodge the rematch. One thing Froch is a hugely proud man and the fact he was booed leaving the stadium and people saying that he got a gift decision against Groves, might make him take it. He desperately craves respect and adulation and he wouldn't want to go out like that. It would grate on his mind, as it is right now....
It makes monetary sense. It would get sold out in a flash and the PPV should do considerably well. Even the US might pick this one up and generate even more revenue.
I get that Froch would love to prove himself again and beat Groves fairly but Eddie Hearn has a big influence over Froch and I can see him protecting who he thinks is one of the best British boxers ever. There's a lot of money to be made in the Kessler fight especially if it's at the City ground.
Said previous this fight only happens if Froch says to Eddie and Rob or they say to him don't take a rematch with George. Eddie offers Groves rubbish terms and money he then declines and team Froch use PR to make out they offered Groves the fight but he declined and as Eddie says we move on. If then Kessler and Froch did fight again think Froch points win and then both to retire
Groves is the new man on the block and Eddie would be foolish not to offer the rematch. Ideal scenario for Eddie is Froch loses and he signs Groves up. But you never know with Froch....
Nah Eddie is trying to make out that Froch is a legend to British boxing. Well he's been saying it for a while now and that's why I have my doubts about Froch v Groves II as both Froch and Hearn know that Groves would school him again and would get the win this time around. If that would happen then Froch would have to do a lot to redeem himself but don't forget he's 36 years old.
Doubtful if Kessler will even fight again. He's taking the year off and will reconsider his options in 2014.He is wealthy enough to retire and enjoy life.
if froch doesnt fancy the rematch or retireing he could go and fights chavez jr in america, kessler groves could be a goer they could maybe now get away with a ppv for it
I wouldn't want to see froch Kessler 3 simply for te fact the only fight that should even be on the table is a groves rematch. I'm sure the third fight would be another great fight but it wouldn't sit well with a lot of fans if groves doesn't get an immediate rematch.
