Does anyone know if MainEvent will be showing this here? I think this has the makings of a classic but hate the thought of having to read Rd by Rd updates.
Does anyone find the close odds suprising? I know Kessler is coming off a loss, but I seriously don't rate Froch. I can't see this being anything but a one sided affair? Thoughts?
I agree, I actually think Dirrell dominated Froch in that fight after watching closely a second time. Kessler should win easily, he has problems with fighters who are awkward and quick, I actually think Mundine could of beaten him if he had a bit more confidence in his abilities. Froch is straightforward and his chin is really gonna be tested in this fight.
Before the tournament I thought Kessler would win, but after Kessler lost so badly to Ward , and Froch winning against Dirrell, (although I thought he lost, just), I'm having 2nd thoughts.. Tough call..Could be a close fight. I mean Kessler was favourite before the tournament even started.. His stock would have plummeted by now. 1 thing I learnt about Kessler, - he has no inside game. That explains how he got dominated by Calzaghe so easily.
I'm hoping so too mate. I sent MainEvent an email about a month back and they said they were looking into it. Sent them another a week back and no reply :? So far they have shown no interest in the super six which I can't understand. Not sure who is running things there but I hope they get a grip and realise this fight looks to be a ripper, and not some bullsh!t tune up high profile US fighter.
If Froch wins the Super Six or even get's to the final - will people fiinally give him a break and acknowledge his abilities?
Well im a big fan of Froch...takes on all comers with his heart & always comes to fight giving 100%. If Kessler is off his game at all or he has slipped a bit, Froch will not hesitate in grabbing the situation.
I just sent Main Event an email asking that they show Froch v Kessler and I would encourage every fair dinkum boxing fan to do the same. If Main Event do pick it up it would most likely be the US Showtime coverage which will also include Andre Ward v Allan Greene which makes it a pretty sweet doubleheader! Awesome!
I dont think Kessler is done....I think he will beat Froch I think its a case of the following 1. How good is Ward.....very good one would think....I was wrong 2. Kessler has problems with slick movers like Ward....Froch is not like Ward 3. Froch will stand and trade....right up Kesslers alley 4. Its do or die for Kessler Its going to be a great fight....hope its PPV :good
Tend to agree, and will add - 5. I think Kessler may have underestimated Ward, and along with inactivity this was his undoing. (Not taking anything away from Ward as he looked great) 6. Froch ain't much chop and is certainly no Ward or Calzaghe. I haven't written off Kessler for this tournament as yet. When he meets Ward again the fight will go very different, it will be a war.
