Yeah but he was sucking off Froch all night, I suppose he has to. Clearly his musings were to be taken with a pinch of salt based on his punditry tonight.

We can disagree because boxing, moreso than any other sport, is incredibly subjective.

The way I saw it is if Carl had done what McCracken was telling him to he would have dominated and kessler would have had no answer. Every time he stepped in behind a stiff jab followed by the right he found success. launching his trademark 'Ryu off streetfighter' style uppercut (I half expect him to shout 'Sho-ryu-ken' whilst he's doing it) was never going to be enough. Kessler could have dominated however he liked.

In terms of Froch not being able to bully Kessler and have him on the back foot - that's always been Kessler's major strength. He's got great spinal strength down the pipe. It speaks volumes that Calzaghe couldn't even have a tear up with him when moving into his hitting zone in straight lines.

It went as I expect. Kessler in terms of boxing is a step above Froch however the intangiables is what kept Froch in the fight. Unfortunately for Carl Kessler showed in chin and heart that he has some of his own intangiables that are impressive.

Kessler is technically flawed but Froch is worse.

Froch is CONTINOUSLY out of position with his feet. His hands are continously out of position and that is while his hands are low. His punches are wide and overshot. One left hook threw him round 360.

McCracken aint bad but Carl needs someone who will teach him right from wrong technically. Kessler needs the same or he will never beat skilled speedsters like Ward and Calzaghe. They'll make him pay for every mistake.

PS - I wanted to see many more uppercuts from Froch. Technically, that is his best punch.

I've never done 12 rounds so I don't know the answer to this one, but it seemed Carl was able to handle the interview at the end easily enough to suggest that maybe he didn't give his all.

10-2 Scorecard is fine, Froch won rounds 5 and 10 clearly, Kessler won all the other rounds.

Agree totally with this. I've never seen a world title level operator box so ugly.

I suppose the thing is Carl never has had a high work-rate. He can up gears late in the fight but he doesn't throw that many punches throughout. He was comfortably outworked tonight by Kessler. He really needed to throw more than he did because when he did he had his moments. I wouldn't say Kessler was that much more accurate, his accuracy was poor compared to what its been in the past against such an easy target, but he just threw more and as such landed more and by throwing more he took better ring position as Froch can't counter for **** he just backs up.

    Awright Carl

I havent met him, he comes across as aloof, I dont need to explain myself. I'm pretty much totally biased against froch, think of me as an Islamic extremist and Froch is the decadent West.

Also am I a 'pube end' or just a 'pube'
