Froch vs. Kessler

I think Kessler at his best would hand Froch a one-sided beating. However, I am not at all certain we will ever see the best of Kessler again. I think it is pretty clear that he lost at least half a step, and he may not be able to get that back. As of right now, Kessler/Froch looks like a 50/50 affair to me.

 

u place some gd pts. I'm wondering how he is mentally, Kessler. He could deal wit a loss nd cum bk hard, ie post-Calzaggy. However, he was shutout by Andre Ward compared 2 a split dec loss 2 Joe C. Nonetheless, Mikkel is superior n skill.

 

Kessler did not get a split decision against Slappy Joe. The scores were 116-112, 116-112, 117-111. My score was 117-111.

Not as confident in Kessler to win this as I was pre Ward. But I still think he'll take the win over Froch. Probably have to go through a few hairy moments but he should get the job done.

I think Froch will beat Kessler. Ward is still working on the heavy bag with his head and still refused to fight anywhere except his home town. Ward will refused to fight in the tournament if Bute were allowed to fight.

Froch is one crazy fighter, you never know what he is going to do, but he will pressure anyone and I mean anyone. I respect him for his guts. Kessler can be a good fighter, but.............all the cuts from Ward's head butts will affect him. However, that fight will be in his home town, so perhaps.......

Froch wins this. Froch is very good at doing what is required to win. Kessler was ruined by Calzaghe mentally and it showed against Ward who was the first decent fighter he'd faced since the JC loss..

eventhough hiring a mental coach is a step in the right direction, it just doesnt cut it.

the major problem.. kessler is a BOXER, BUT not a FIGHTER. If a guy headbuts or uses elbows, you do a tyson and retaliate.

thats also the major reason, that i see the froch fight as much much closer now. Froch will test mikkels mentality. if it comes down to a battle of wills, froch wil win. If froch can make it a dog fight and play mindgames leading up to the fight, he wil win.

Mikkel needs to make it a boxing match, but im not sure he can, as we saw the quicker dirrell failing, at exactly that.

 

Froch by K.O for me, although thats more what i want to happen.
