Seeing as it looks like the Inkin fight is off how would people like to see Frock vs Kessler?

Its a big step up for Froch for sure, but there can be no better way of establishing himself as a genuine force at SMW... IF he has the balls to back his words.

I know for sure Kessler would be very welcome back in the UK if the fight were to take place there... he may well even be the crowd favourite!

My money would be on Kessler. But if Froch is as good as he says he is who knows?

If Froch were as good as he says, he'd be p4p #1 with no one in 2nd or 3rd place:)

Kessler would dismantle the Cobra. Carl has huge defensive problems and simply lacks the accuracy to get shots in on Kessler.

Kessler would ruin the Cobra with jabs and 1-2's all night, en route to a late stoppage or clear cut decision.

Hello all - long time lurker here.

I'm a huge fan of the cobra - went to uni in Nottingham and have trained at the same gym as him in the past. His defence is always perceived to be lacking simply because he only really raises his game against tough opponents. He also certainly has a granite chin.

However this is a fight too soon for the Cobra. Kessler by UD, maybe 117-111.

    Sure I'd watch it, mate.
I'd also watch any fight with either against any of the others in the mix of 160-175
Hell, I'd watch most anything with two live ones in there.
As long as you don't feed me Winky and Tito anymore, I'm all game for a pint and a 12-rounder:)
(i'd still watch Winky and tito against any of the live ones, hehe - if there are pints, of course)

I know fighters need a degree of arrogance but Froch really doesn't endear himself to people. After Calzaghe-Kessler, Froch stated that he had no interst in Kessler now that JC had beaten him. Froch needs a reality check - he's nearly 2 yrs older than Kessler but has had 17 fewer fights whilst Kessler had already attained multi-belt world champ status. Froch should be gratfeul to come anywhere near the same ring as Kessler

They are not offering enough money to get any decent fighter to take the fight on two weeks notice. Let alone a guy like Kessler who would probably ask for at least a 7 figure payday.

Kessler is fighting Miranda in May. He is not ready to step in at short notice. The fight will be rescheduled and Inkin will be the one fighting Froch.

Frochs defense is to weak, could he walk through Kesslers shots? i dont think so. Kessler UD or late stoppige.
