Froch is always the underdog, but nearly always seems to win it. I remember most favouring Bute (myself included), but we all know how that turned out.

I'm not sure who would win, Kovalev looks like he has some serious power, but then Froch has a serious chin. What I dont know about Kovalev is how durable he is and how long he can take being hit by Froch.

I'd give the edge to Froch as he's proven more and the weight I dont think would be an issue, Froch may only walk around at 170, but then he's a throwback fighter who doesn't binge between fights.

Man, don't compare that glass jaw Bute to KOvalev... Bute was KO'ed by 20 years old GGG in amateurs being much bigger than him...

I like Kovalev but he's getting overrated. Guys got serious power but looks quite one dimensional, can't fight off the back foot just plods forward setting up his telegraphed right hands with a pretty slow but very hard jab.

Kovalevs best win is Cleverly/Campillo but Froch, a guy who has consistently proved himself at world level is being written off? Getting deja vu of the build up to the Bute fight over here

Man... Bute was overrated. Kovalev is different animal. Kovalev easily win Froch even without KO

The same Froch that was just dropped by Taylor's right hand, stunned by Glenn Johnson's right hand, and hurt several times by Kessler's right hand, smiling at Kov's right hand?

Get off the pipe. Froch has a solid chin, but he ain't Marvin Hagler.

I don't see why you guy seem to think weight is an issue he will bulk up for the fight obviously and walk in at same weight as kovalev

That would be the same Taylor right hand that dropped Pavlik shortly after having him doing the jelly dance ? and Johnson and Kessler have a fair number of KO wins between them.
You can question Frochs technique all you like, but there are no question marks about his chin.

    Overrated by who ?

Go back and look at the press and TV predictons prior to the fight, some respected boxing writers didn't give Froch a hope against Bute.
It's the same old **** over and over again, fighters like Bute are never overrated till they are bested by somebody they weren't supposed to be beaten by.
Froch does the unthinkable and beats Bute senseless = Bute was overrated :patsch

No he wont. Froch trains hard, he barely even cuts any weight. Bulking up would be fighting at an unnatural weight and therefore be at a disadvantage.

I bet Kovalev comes in at 180 plus easily.

When did I question Froch's chin? He has a solid chin, nobody can doubt that. It's not granite though. He can be hurt, and dropped, and Kov would be the biggest puncher he's faced. So to say that Froch would smile at Kov's power, when he's been hurt by lesser puncher's than Kov, is just that poster talking out his ass.

Bute suddenly became an average fighter after Froch.Load of crap.Froch deserves credit. But a while ago he took a Kessler fight instead of a mandatory against Stevenson, who would have come to GB at the time.Admittedly this was sound business sense but I think somebody knew Stevenson was a beast also.By the same token,so is Kovalev.Too big and tough for Carl and he won't fight him.If Kovalev and Stevenson fight it'll be a super fight, but I hope Bellew derails that one.
