how can ypu questoin his stamina? he took a few breathers but even in his quiet rounds, it was still all action. and how can you call him euro level? he just won the wbc belt, please name all the fighters who beat him?

he does take too many, but that's the arrogance grown out of having a granite chin.

I dunno, I get the impression he would struggle against a busier, quicker fighter, he's very reliant on trying to throw the big guns which expend a lot of energy.

Yeah, Pascal showed class in his interview.

I thought Froch was far more comfortable working his jab, nearly always beating Pascal to the punch. He probably could have taken a lot less damage had he kept that up.

And what a gentleman Pascal was in defeat. A genuine nice guy.

You could be right but you can't judge that from this fight because he was the much fresher fighter at the end of this fight and through bombs up until the end.Until he fights this busier quicker fighter you speak of you can't question his stamina.

you have to remember both fighters came out nervous and threw a tone of bombs...honestly I think froch was at his tiredest in the fight at the end of the 5th. After that it was back to boxing and he did fine.

By around the 6th I did think Froch looked too tired, but 6 rounds later he's still there throwing hooks and uppercuts with venom. If he doesn't have constant bell-to-bell stamina, he does have the conditioning to get his second and third winds.

Love to see him versus andrade. If HBO has any balls they'd step up pay them the money and bring them both to vagas to get it on!

All he has to do is stop being a mug and box right from the begining of the fight. He thought Pascal was weak and mentally would fold so he came out guns blazing. But he'd never hit a world class fighter before and it didn't work. So he did the smart thing and started boxing and that was the fight.

It's probably tough because here in the UK the hype machine was making out he's the next big thing, and maybe after seeing numerous hype jobs come and go over here I'm a little too critical and I look closer at the flaws rather than the merits. Maybe over time I will be swayed by him as he gains more experience against a higher level of opponent.

Yeah I do the same with our fighters here in Canada. And like you guys they usually don't live up to the bill.

Personally, I was doing the same thing as you before this fight. Being over critical of Pascal. After the Molitor debacle I honestly thought the first clean punch he got hit with would hurt him. I think Carl might have thought the same the way he jumped him at the start.

We can both be glad this proved to be a classic SMW championship fight.

Indeed, we got a great "edge of the seat" fight...time to set the alarm for DLH/Pac!
