pavlik by late stoppage. i know you disagree and that's respected. both men can take shots and can go 12 and both can punch but froch's hands are too low and he will stand in front of you which is the last place you want to be when facing kelly. kelly loses when guys don't stand in front of him. very often froch throws his left jab from his knee cap. if kelly can time his straight right which he should be able to do b/c froch doesnt move, then its gonna be a long night for carl. my god if kessler could have found his sharp, straight 1-2 he coulda stopped froch but he was throwing wide looping shots all fight
Froch for me. Bigger stronger and yeah Kelly is a better boxer but Carl just drags people into wars and Pavlick isnt hard to hit i actually think the loss to kessler maybe do carl more good than harm in the long run
froch ud maybe, but he seems to think he is too good for a guard so anything could happen. he was lucky to hang onto his belt as long has he did. out boxed by taylor, lucky decision against dirrell.:think
again...respected...but i disagree. froch lost that fight despite mikkel looking well off his peak form. kessler threw one short crisp right hand when carl was lunging in face first and hurt him. other than that mikkel was looping his shots all night which he neeeeeever used to do. carl was tossing a jab from his left knee cap just begging to be timed right down the pipe and kessler never did it. and as i told suga in another thread. better beats kelly at 168, not bigger. the man is the same size if not bigger than these guys he just killed himself boiling off an extra 8lbs to make mw. bigger and stronger won't work against kelly at 168, being a slick boxer will....just as it did at 160 and at 170.
I'll take ]avlik by decision here. Great fight with potential for sime fireworks. Id like to see it happen.
mikkel kessler is no mikkel kessler...lately anyways. the guy who fought joe is not the guy from the last few fights and i'm a big kessler fan, always have been
I never thought I'd find myself saying this, but Froch might actually do well into a boxing match if he boxes off the back foot like he did in the early rounds against Kessler. Still favour Pavlik's fundamentals in a war, though.
