The truth is everyone knows that that Froch just doesnt have the fanbase for ITV or any of the other broadcasters to justify shelling out the big money for a fight at that time..... If it was Hatton, Khan, or Calzaghe they would be falling over themselves to put the fight on no matter what the time Froch may not like it but its the truth
Yeah I also think you've got mixed up fella...I think they're on about Radio 5 Live. But if it is on Channel 5, will it be before the feature late cheap, shitty 80s early 90s crime thriller film or after.
if froch was asking for silly money then i would understand, but surely he realises that he's not at that stage you get what you generate and froch is not exactly the most famous face in britain
Actually, I wouldn't care if it was on Channel 5, at least we'd get to see it! :happy Channel 5 are not exactly virgins of live world title fights either, as they broadcast Holyfield-Moorer 2 live as well.
Hope it's on ITV but if not, it looks like some dodgy stream. Or I might just actually sleep at a normal hour on a Saturday night for a change.
If the fight was scheduled for prime time Saturday night than they would have snapped it up ages ago. 2/3am is the graveyard slot for advertisements so it's not really viable for them to spend the money on acquiring the rights and then not making enough money in return through advertisments. This fight should never have been in the US. A packed out Nottingham Arena and a viewing audience of millions on prime time terrestrial televison for Britain's only world champ's first defence. That's what should have been the scenario. What's actually gonna transpire, I dread to think.
Didn't need television coverage that night I think every boxing fan in the UK must have been inside the stadium! Cracking night.
This would be a result! I cant see them having the ££ tho, ITV re-run would be good, cant see any other options. This is why the average fan can twatch world championship boxing and it aint never going to change. As said above, over £100 for a BBC Fee you have no choice in paying for, you have to watch F1 and Horse racing drivvle but you cant watch a good fight?? Oh, no actually, £16 million goes to the Mug Johanthon Ross, I take back my negative comments.
