How will the fight pan out? Does anyone want Taylor to win?
I see Froch coming forward and trying to put pressure on Taylor. From what I've heard out of Froch he seems to think the Pavlik formula is the best way. I'm not convinced myself, I think Froch is a little open and slow to put on that kind of consistent pressure, I think Taylor's handspeed would rip him to shreads. He's not got the work-rate of Pavlik, he'd get tired easily. All that would happen is he'd lose a lot of rounds and become desperate, increasing the chance of Taylor landing enough blows to stop him. I think he'd be better off trying to box as he did for a portion of the Pascal fight, use his long jab, try and get into the middle late rounds without sustaining too much damage and then take Taylor into the trenches when Taylor is less sharp himself. Taylor has bad stamina late, and this is when he is prone to defensive errors. Froch needs to be in the best position to take advantage of this by keeping some energy in the bank. Overall though I think if Taylor performs as he did in the Pavlik rematch he'll be too good for Froch. Froch doesn't do a whole lot better than Pavlik offensively, and is easier to tag, so I'd see Taylor picking up a comfortable decision.
I think you are right - Andrade is a nightmare for Froch. Both of these guys are wide open, there would be many exchanged blows, but ultimately Andrade bites the gumshield and just keeps on milling away. Froch's stamina was crap against Pascal. He looked out on his feet.
Froch is shyte, slow hands, slow feet, head way up in the air chin waiting to be hit, stupid hands down style and too slow to get away with it,and hits no where near as hard as even he believes. No fundamental boxing skill.Taylor on points.
Froch seemed to blow his load early on - a lot of nerves and tension caused that. Maybe he'll be more calm against Taylor now he's a champ and knows Jermain can be hurt. It comes down to the counter punching. Froch may have to sacrifice the early rounds till he can catch Taylor clean. From then on, he can do damage. I can see a win for Froch - Taylor was never that good and he can be knocked off his game with alarming ease.
Don't care for him either way. It's probably difficult for you to assess Carl's weaknesses from the vantage point of his anal cavity. He does have weaknesses you know.
He does mate, but so do a lot of fighters - and i dont spend my life dumbing down them, like you do for Froch ! IF Kessler gets knocked out by Froch in the next 18 months, it'll make your boy look even worse.
Froch won't be disgraced and will go the distance but I would expect Taylor to have too much class and experience for him. Has a tv deal been sorted out for this yet?
