Froch will keep beating Taylor to the jab, whenever Taylor gets too close, laying the uppercut on him, working his body, hitting with some big straight rights, KD Taylor maybe a couple of time, Froch by UD. Thats from a neutral corner, I've always said that.

Random question I know but does anybody know if there is any stipulation on the gloves being used ? Froch could do well putting a pair of Reyes on for this as they are generally considered to be 'Punchers Gloves' if i'm correct ? Just a thought :)

I can't pick a winner. At first I was picking Taylor, but now I am not so sure. Only one way to find out.

I can only assume you mean intelligently debating it on ESB, listening thoughtfully to each others points until we all come to the same conclusion. :yep

That coming from someone who has a Froch picture on his avatar??!! :patsch

Even though I voted for a Froch UD I think this is a 50/50 fight. I just hope Froch doesn't go in there thinking he is invinsible. If he does that he could get sparked early.

First off credit to Carl Froch,

The 1st defence of his WBC World Super Middleweight title against big name and former real NO 1 Middleweight World Champion Jermain Taylor.

If you had asked me a year or two ago - my heart would have been cold towards Froch.

I was more in Calzaghe's camp = the South Wales Valley Warrior.

I still like Calzaghe - but I feel a bit disaappointed at his bitterness toward Froch when he won the WBC World Super Middleweight title

Calzaghe refused to give Froch credit and even slagged of the win

What makes it worse is Calzaghe at the same time has always turned down a fight with Froch which kind of makes it worse - because if you gonna slag him off and say you would KO him in 3 rounds - at least have the convction to go through with the fight

David Haye once said that he would "bowl over Enzo Macc in a couple of rounds" - I thought he was a arrogant tosser for saying that so casual but at least he had the conviction to go through with the fight and actually do it.

I was a Calzaghe fan throughout his career - he is one of Wales finest fighters - and he was a warrior to kicked arse in the ring - however though I am not blind in love with Calzaghe - can see his bad points too - he was bitter and sour ****er - he also lied when it suited him - was a bit of a **** - and chose to stay in the comfort zone for the vast majority of his career and only went to America when it wasnt a risk anymore because all his career was nearly done by then.

Which leads us on to Froch who is beginning to win me over a bit.

I dont love him - but I like him a bit now - which is a improvement on when I thought he was just a cold murderer with the personailty as cold as a snowman.

The way he is going about his career is refreshing - putting it all on the line in America on his 1st defence.

ITS AS IF HE WANTS TO SHOW CALZAGHE HOW A REAL WORLD CHAMPIONS REIGN SHOULD BE.

Please dont compare Froch to Calzaghe by saying Froch was fighting bums only a few fights ago.

Its ok to fight average opponets in your back yard when you are just a British / Commonwealth champion.

Now Froch has come of age in becoming World Champion - he is stepping up and behaving like a World Champion should and fighting the best.

1st defence like this is impressive.

This is the real test for Froch.

Taylor might be too slick for him - but I believe Froch wants it more - he is a nasty guy in there who loves a scrap.

I'm gonna go for Froch to come from behind on the scorecards to wear down Taylor for a 10th round TKO and retain his WBC title.

That has to be one of the funniest **** I've ever read. Especially coming from a guy who never misses an opportunity to put down Bute.

    Hypocrisy 101

Win or lose he's bringing the belt home. The Champion never loses his belt.

I think Froch will have problems getting away from Taylor's right hand.

Taylor's Jab-Jab-Right Hand combination will hit the mark regularly in my opinion.

I've fancied Froch for this from the time the fight was first mooted to about a week back. Now I'm starting to swing towards Taylor.

Can Froch beat somebody with the ring smarts to hang with B-hop for 24 rounds? :think:think

    yeah

lets remeber that if it werent for him getting ko'd by pavlik , etc Jermain Taylor would still be seen as a pound for pound top ten fighter

I think Froch might have to KO him to win - and I think he can

goes 12 rounds - Taylor too slick

I think Taylor UD, but hopefully Froch shows a lot of heart, digs in, gets in the trenches and Taylor just doesn't fancy it.
