interesting. a sarky ****. forgiven by the fact you like the big bang theory. thats a rib tickler. sheldon is the ****ing man.
If it goes the distance I just can't see Froch pulling out a decision. I don't think he will be able to box Taylor. He has to finish it and I think he has the tools to do so. He's got the power and will be able to land on Taylor, so I'm going to back him for a late TKO while being down on the cards.
Froch is a big, strong, powerful super middleweight. I can see him taking the front foot, cutting off the ring and landing the bombs ala Pavlik but awkward/sloppy. Alternatively, he might sit back, box, work that long jab and it's there that Froch is a sneaky little **** with his long right, counter uppercut and even his sweeping left can do good if it lands. Froch is a good fighter but his pro and con is that he can be sloppy or awkward. His punching technique can sometimes leave much to be desired. It leaves him horribly open. At the same time that dynamic approach can hurt guys en route to a ko. Froch's work had him getting tagged against Magee but that awkward counter uppercut eventually spelt ko. At the same time, Taylor might get caught and go into a shell ala Barney. Froch is sloppy out of choice, Taylor is just bad technically. Taylor is talented though and should be the favourite given that his win over Lacy is arguably better than anything Froch has done.
People need to understand that it was the workrate of Kelly Pavlik which bothered Jermaine Taylor. In both Pavlik fights, Jermaine Taylor technically was clearly the better fighter. It was when he become tired and become more static, that was when Kelly Pavlik started to dominate. If Jermaine Taylor faces a oponent who operates in the 30-40 punch range, he will beat most if not all super middle weights. Because he has faster hands speed, and if he wants..decent..decent movement. Carl Froch does not have the best workrate, his hand speed is satisfactory, and his movement is ok....and his defense is nothing special. He fights like he has Roy Jone's reflexe's..but he doe's not. Jermaine Taylor i believe will take it to Carl Froch, and it will be a 5-6 round fight...voilent..voilent fight. Jermaine Taylor wining by TKO.
got my ticket to fight, cant ****ing wait!! i believe pascal had the nightmare style for Froch and he got over that hurdle. Taylor might be a superior boxer to Froch as far as technical ability, but when taylor feels froch's power I believe he will be happy to survive and froch will win on points due to taylor wanting to avoid getting knocked out or badly hurt. then on to montreal for the easiest fight of the 3 and a definite stoppage victory over bute. was gonna say im not looking past taylor, but i guess i am. go on the Cobra
Taylor technically was quite atrocious in both those fights. He's talented and he boxed Pavlik but he isn't a technical fighter at all. He doesn't work on range, timing, nor is his technique up to par. Pavlik actually fought the better technical fight but people will not recognise it. I agree, Pavliks workrate was vital. Froch doesn't approach fights like that but based on his fight with Pascal he could. Be patriotic, go with Frochy boy. Woo woo.
I think Froch will find this very hard. Its the first real world class fighter he has faced and Taylor is very good when he wants to be.If he lands the type of shots that had Pavlick in big trouble i think Froch is out of there.
This is a tough one to pick. Taylor is actually a lot better than people think and better suited to Super Middleweight than Middleweight. Froch is real good. I have a nagging feeling Kessler would be a better fight for Froch. Whoever wins will be the dominant force in this division but watch out for both Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell.
