Sexual Panda. Froch wasn't in that much trouble, he didn't look especially hurt and recovered quickly. Taylor did attempt to go after Froch but got caught with a big right hand which made him think twice. All this talk of Taylor schooling Froch is nonsense. Froch won almost half of that fight (and Taylor is a damn good opponent who was highly motivated to win). Because people remember this fight as Froch taking a beating before knocking Taylor out, they under-rate his chances against his next opponent. I like this because I know that once again Froch will win and there will be some serious egg on face.
i'm sure they both feel they have something left to prove to eachother...i'm sure froch feels he's the better man and would want to prove it again, and i'm sure taylor feels he can figure out a way to not get floored in the final seconds and win a fight that was his all along. bottom line REMATCH!!! (which i suppose could/would happen if this smw tourney happens)
Yeah, I'd happily watch a rematch. I hope this smw tourny comes off. It'll take care of my next 18 months boxing fixes
technically he won all of it, but till that point he'd lost maybe 8 rounds. That's more than half, for the record.
Thought it wsd obvious that I meant half the fight on points. Sorry I wasn't specific enough. Also, I had it (in rounds) 7-5 to Taylor. Thats why I said "almost half the fight"
How would more stamina have prevented him from getting KOed? Are you you saying he was to tired to run away from Froch's bombs? There was no where to hide Froch would catch him eventually. Taylor was being worn down by the high tempo, pressure and big shots Froch was landing. Allot of fighters probably would have been really tired in the last couple of rounds against very fit fighters like Froch, Calzaghe or Andrade.
All this talk of Taylor gassing "badly" is absolute bollocks. He was fit enough to be throwing decent shots in the first minute of the 12th round and it was only when Froch caught him straight down the pipe with a good right hand and he was hurt did the wheels actually start to come off. It is lazy analysis for people to automatically dismiss a Taylor defeat as just a case of gassing.
I was at this fight....It was an awesome fight, I thought Jermain could have finished him after the KD....he looked way too hesitant for 20 seconds after....
Totally Agree. Taylor was snapping shots and looking to shine in that 12th then he got clipped with a right hand and staggered to ropes and Froch showed world class finishing ability.
