Froch ~vs ward!!!!

All comes down to how much cheating the billygoat is allowed to get away with.

He has no power so Froch will get to him no doubt, the question is do Ward's headbutting clinching spoiling and ducking below the belt illegal moves get allowed? ie does he handpick the judges and ref and fight in his front room?

If so only a KO will do for the Cobra. which might get him a MD

 

Close call. I respect froch for what he is but realise ward is a very good fighter so maybe I give ward the edge.

However, what I do see is that ward hasn't the power to trouble froch that much, certainly don't have the power to keep froch off of him and ward has yet to be tested imo.

A lot will depend on if froch wants a war or to box powerfully behind a good solid jab like against abraham. Admittedly wards movement is so much better than AA but I still think he is going to find froch very hard to breakdown.

 

If dirty tactics come to the fore you just know froch will give it back ten fold and personally I don't think it wise that ward adopts spoiling dirty boxing inside tactics with froch. It means he is there to be bullied back. Ward needs to use his speed/movement like dirrell did, only i don't think he is as quick as dirrell or runs as fast.

just my opinion but the ward who couldn't dominate bika is not going to dominate froch, he may win but it will be close..

Anyhow froch has to get past johnson first.

 

Yes, I agree. If the Son of Ottke has the officials in his pocket this is a big concern.

What should also be a concern to boxing fans is that Ward will have gone right through the S6 with all his fights in his home country

 

Then again Ward dominated Kesler, who controversially beat Froch.

Bikas ugly style got him some rounds, but he wasn’t close to winning it.

 

In all fairness it is of concern but then again it wont be the first time or the last that a fighter is favoured in this way and given preferential treatment to his advantage. Why it is so poignant is because it involves a tournie where he has clearly been given the home adavantage at the expense of 5 other world class operators.

The kessler fight was hardly dominating in a positive way for ward was it? I remember being disgusted at some of wards tactics that were allowed.. Not saying he wouldn't have beat him but dominating off the back of holding and butting is not what I call skilled.

Bika never looked like winning but he proved ward can be got at and lets be fair bika is poor.

So i suppose my point is nothing about ward suggests to me he will win by a wide ud as you suggest. To suggest this would say he is clearly leagues ahead of the rest and in the same mould as RJJ, Bhop and I don't think he is nearly as good. Maybe I am wrong about him but ill stand by either froch or ward in a very close maybe controversial decision.

I think he would have to qualify for potential atg status if he does continue to dominate the best of the rest. Although he needs more power in order to rule the super middle light heavies imo.

 

Well, it won't happen cause Johnson will ko Froch. But, if it did, it would be reminiscent to the dirrell affair, sloppy and anti-climatic..

 

Ward will win on points, that's if Froch gets there of course. I think he will, but i don't want to completely count Johnson out.
