I do not think it is unreasonable. 1 mil for a Champion in a title fight is fine.

I think a Taylor/Froch fight would be exciting for the fans. I hope it can happen even though I don't care about either fighter it would be great to watch.

    Froch doesn't want the fight.

  4. It's pretty reasoable for the champ to get the lionshare of the purse, weather 1 mill is resonable i have no idea

$1 million ain't much when you consider that being about 500,000 British Pounds...

1mill for the WBC champ sounds good enough to me

Froch is about to learn the difference between "belt holder" and "champion". Taylor is only looking at his take. I doubt there is enough for both if Froch gets 1 million.

1 million is lots of money considering that without HBO, there's no way any promoter could raise enough money to pay both Froch and Taylor.

Is $1 million too much? Depends on what's left over for Taylor. If it's much less than another mil, then yeah, it's too much.

That is very reasonable. Froch is giving JT a chance to fight for his title, Froch is the one who's going to another country where in the past foreign fighters have been robbed, Froch is risking his belt & he's the champ. This is very reasonable and if JT & team doesn't accept it then Froch should move on.

I think it's a bargain, given that Taylor wanted TEN million to come to the UK and fight Calzaghe.

Not that I believe there's any truth to it.

  13. Michael Marley talks ouof his a$$. It's well know that he's a Froch hater. I don't believe a word he says. If I heard it somewhere else I'd believe it.

No doubt the belt still has commercial value for Taylor. I'm sure his camp will take that into consideration, but still, it will be bottom line for him. He might see Bute as a more viable short term option. I think there is more money for both in that fight.

Considering Taylors name in the sport of boxing and his accomplishments ... i'm sure that 1m would be good for Froch ... i'm not sure that he's even crack 1m purse yet.

Taylor should get the majority of the purse ... I know that Froch is champion but this is Froch 1st title defense and he's going up against an american who's pretty famous - and if its in the US ... makes even more sense for Froch to cash out. 1m is alot of money.

Froch must really believe in his skills ... i'm sure him wanting to make it happen will be make for a good fight.

a 6 figure purse would be great for Froch at this point ...
