It would appear that Carl Froch wants to face Joe Calzaghe in the ring, and is not afraid to tell every reporter who will talk to him that Calzaghe is afraid of him! For a guy whose only claim to fame is beating a Roy Jones Wannabe, Jean Pascal, he seems to have a lot to say. Mikkel Kessler had a lot to say also, and we all saw what happened to him. I think it is high time for Calzaghe to give this bum a boxing lesson.

Carl Froch, be careful what you wish for!

He was offered the fight in summer 07. Turned it down making a fuss about a standard clause that goes into every top fight contract. Nuff said.

Froch turned down the Calzaghe fight because Warren wanted options - he was showing loyalty to his promoter, Mick Hennessy, who is a great guy, and brings up prospects properly.

Why was he offered the fight in the summer of 07 when Froch was barely even a top 15 contender at that time? Did Joe say that? He also said he offered Pavlik a fight in 2006 when he was just a contender at that point who no one never even heard of. I guess its a way to bail himself out.

I actually think Froch is better than people think. He may look one dimensional, but he out boxed Pascal and countered him as well. He is much more than he looks.

froch is a ****ing goon,i think he'd prefer joe NOT to fight him so he can keep mouthing off about being ducked which is bull****,if he fights&beats some world class fighters maybe the top fighters will pay attention to him.

Froch is the bets 168 in the world. Calzaghe has frauded his way to the top for too long. To prove any sort of 'greatness' he should fight the best in the business, if not he should shut up and retire the fake he is.

Froch was the British and Commonwealth champion at the time if I remember correctly and had been calling Calzaghe out for a while. Calzaghe needed an opponent and an all british clash would have made good money. As for Pavlik, I have no idea about that one, doesn't matter now anyway after the schooling he got from Hopkins. I think it was his ***** of a trainer that was doing most of the mouthing anyway, managed to severely embarass himself and his fighter, nice work.

As for Froch being a decent fighter I agree, he's got great heart and a rock solid chin but he needs to work on his defence and movement imo if he's gonna take on the best.

Maybe not, but he is as ready as he is ever going to be. Froch has a lot of flaws in his style, but he is too old to change them now. This clown should prove to be an easy opponent for Calzaghe. TAKE NOTE! I'm telling you all this before the fight, not after.

If that's true then I don't blame Froch.

Hennessy has been good for him and Warren is a Greedy ******* who hinders his fighters careers to keep his cash cow's unbeaten.

Froch vs Calzaghe is on my wishlist for 2009 although i don't think it will happen.

The Battle of Britain resurrected, following the likes of Eubank vs Benn, Lewis vs Bruno and Haye vs Maccarinelli and also great advertisement for British Boxing which continues to flourish despite what's being said about Boxing across the pond.

This is the biggest Domestic fight out there exept maybe Hatton vs Khan.
Calzaghe should fight Froch if he's so confident of easily beating him it would be the best possible way for him to bow out and do it with the whole nation watching.

That is what I was thinking. Calzaghe will make about as much money fighting Froch as anybody else, so why not take the easiest option? Froch is a ready made style match.

Froch won't fight till summer b/c of his rib injury...till then JC will be retired.

Man, I hope that if AA can't get Pavlik till mid 2009 he should move to 168 and fight Froch in Nottingham...I already hear sweet chin melody with the a short right hand sealing the deal...
