hope this gets made in dublin , would defo be going fat mick could get john o'donnell against stephen haughian for the irish welter title on the undercard
Would love this to be in Ireland!!! I've wanted to go there for ages and I go to Froch's fights. Would be quality!!!
I will def go if it is in Dublin, it's a lot better than Herning! Monte Carlo may stretch the budget a bit!
What a trip it would be. I missed Herning because of the change of date. Had my flights booked for the week before. Luckily due to the volcano I got the dough back. Trust me there will be at least 4 of us going over if it is in Ireland.
And what exactly do you know about the 'average paddy'. One appearance by each on a national tv show and a few radio appearances and the fight will be publicised enough. Fight fans will turn out in force but very few casual fans would as Froch is still a caaaant.
Anywhere in Dublin would sell out for this fight. A promoter with half a brain would pack the undercard out with Irish fighters. That said, being from Belfast I would much rather have it here to save the bus journey...
Correct. It never made sense from the beginning.Monte Carlo is about as neutral as you can get,in my opinion.
----------------------------------------- Hi Will - remember a few people told me to keep dreaming when I mentioned this before :hey. Well anywya you lads can get really nice hotel rooms in Dublin for 50 Euro in Dublin 4 area (nice area similar to kensington in London) with breakfast thrown in if the fight happens. Of course you can also PM me and I'll tell you where the best area's of Dublin to book in to are. The O2 is on the north side of the river Liffey just at the end of the docklands area and is quite close by in a taxi to all the major hotels (10 euro fair and even walking distance from some). Closest hotel would be the maldron but expect to pay up to 100 Euro there. Like I said the D4 area is very reasonable so if this fight gets confirmed for Dublin you can PM me amd I'll help you Brits out.
------------with someone like McCloskey, Lee or Macklin on the undercard it seels out I guarantee you. But I'm confident plenty of AA fans will come over courtesy of Ryan Air & City Jet not to mention Aer Lingus who fly to Frankfurt 5 times a day and Dusseldorf twice a day for less then 150 Euro return also.
