so, is he willing to go down in weight.
Or will he want GGG to step up? only the 1st option is brave.

Froch made more money, and sold more PPV than Manny in his last fight. Yeah its in UK, but so what? Froch is a superstar in the UK and western Europe.

Just because Froch is not big in the US does not mean that fighting him in the UK is not a major event.

I've been calling for this fight since last year. It should happen there's no one at 160 left for GGG to fight. Froch is the obvious choice and he wants the fight.

GGG wants to unify the 160 is it his fault he is that good for the other 160 fighters?

Also, some people on this thread seem to be forgetting that GGG/K2 have actively sought a fight with Froch in the past and want the fight.

K2 recently tried to make the fight, it just did not go anywhere because HBO said it was not a PPV level fight in the USA yet. Froch wanted a Vegas PPV. Froch isnt "calling out the smaller guy" he is responding to K2 actively trying to challenge him to a fight.

Unifying at 160 won't happen. Canelo and Cotto will fight each other first and then after that not be in a rush to take on GGG. I mean do you honestly think after these two have a this huge fight, for the very next fight the winner will fight GGG?:deal GGG isn't 28 he's 34 he's older. He might as well and move up and fight Froch waiting around for the Cotto-Canelo winner is a waste of time.

The problem with this article is that he wants to fight GGG after he beats Ward. He has a slim chance to get him in the ring and almost no chance to beat him.

They've always said they would leave 160 for a PPV fight. That's why they signed the Chavez fight at 168. Froch may not be PPV here, but team GGG have said they'll go to the UK where the fight is more than likely PPV worthy. By the way Cotto was talking on First Take this morning, it doesn't seem like he'll fight Golovkin. As much as I would love to see GGG get that lineal, you can't pass up the chance to get a name like Froch on your resume.

Canelo would. No way Canelo drops the WBC green (Mexican) belt to avoid a fight, especially against a guy who is popular with Mexicans.

Cotto a different story, but no way Canelo wants to lose face with his fans. He will go the Oscar route and lose a fight fighting the best first before vacating and running.

32 then he's still not young. Waiting around for the Cotto-Canelo winner is a waste of time. The winner of that fight will not jump immediately into a fight with GGG next. That fight wouldn't happen until late next year at the earliest.:deal

Canelo wouldn't do it. His management wouldn't allow it if he beats Cotto. They would want a soft touch or a mando for his first defense of the linear championship. Canelo is pretty much GBP's cash cow they wouldn't dare sacfrice Canelo to GGG. Fighting PBF was different, he was the face of boxing the cash cow, but with GGG it's too high risk not enough reward.:deal They would put any fight with GGG off for as long as they could. Not only that the WBC is a Mexican belt they won't rank GGG as his mando anyway so that's irrelevant.

Money talks.:deal Cotto-Canelo is a bigger money fight than Cotto-GGG it would happen first.
