    I agree, Barcham.

It's so sad that the guy with all the money doesnt care about the belt/legacy, only more money whereas the guy with a lot less money only cares about the distinct honor of being THE middleweight champ.

HOW CAN ANYONE NOT ROOT FOR THIS GUY??!!

K2 is also pragmatic. Pretty sure for a provisional bout agreement they would. Because PPV is also the goal, and taking a step aside would give them leverage on terms of the PPV split.

Money is the point, why do you think he was trying to fight Chavez Jr at 168 who didn't have a title???.:deal Quit with these romantic ideals you have about boxing and see these guys for who they really are. Money is always a big factor.:deal

Don't get mad at me because I'm telling you like it is. You're like the kid who still believes in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny and I'm the adult in the room telling you that they don't exists.:deal I'm a realist. Would I like to see Cotto-GGG or Canelo-GGG or Froch-GGG hell yes! Don't mistake my realistic view as being any less of a fight fan I just know that this is a business.

Grandad Froch has no chance of beating GGG. Too old, too slow, he will be put into a retirement home.

He should fight Ward and get less of a beatdown. Still lose but wont get hurt as much and still can continue with his career after

    Yeah you're right man

These fans are dumb if they think Golovkin isn't in it for the money like everyone else

He's clearly said he'd go to 168 or 154 for PPV fights only

If he didn't care about money then why would he have that stipulation

Cotto would be a damn fool to fight Golovkin over Canelo for less money

Exactly! If it ain't about the money why in the hell would anyone be trying to fight Chavez Jr?. Who holds no belts. You have Froch, Ward and GGG trying to fight a guy without a belt.:rofl:lol: Hilarious when you think about it.

No "romantic ideals about boxing" here.

I would certainly feel confident saying winning the middleweight title means more to GGG than a JCC jr. fight, thats for sure.

Of course money is a factor and if there is a huge discrepancy between Cotto and JCC fights, GGG must do whats right for his family. Again, no "romantic ideals".

He wants the biggest fights. Usually the biggest fights pay the most money. Pretty simple.

Not only does Chavez bring money, he also brings a higher step on the legacy ladder due to his famous name.

GGG has a huge head and it is well supported in his neck and shoulders .. that is usually better to handle clean punches than the fast "greyhound" type build.

Also, by age GGG at a soon to be 33 years against Ward at 31 is really two prime athletes .. it is a natural fight and potentially a great one.

Cotto is just too small and while I don't question his heart, he would be nearly 35 years of age. He's just not going to be able to do much with the bigger prime Golovkin. He gets stopped. I don't believe he will take this fight.

Quillen won't be durable enough either.

Lee is simply not talented enough. He'll get easily destroyed.

The cupboards are bare at middleweight.

Regarding Froch, I think Carl is too old for this fight as well. Golovkin will have no trouble since he is already at 173 (ring weight) adding a little more muscle for SMW. Carl will be 38 with so many tough fights under his belt. Age matters and wear adds up. Too many cards would be stacked against this version of Froch. Since he doesn't need the money I wouldn't think he should take this fight. If he wins fantastic but the price getting there could be quite high.

Ward is the one that is peak at the right moment in this era for Golovkin. Should be a terrific test that will answer the critics and haters of both - one way or the other.

Golovkin has never been better .. and is prime -- right now.

Ward - even with the layoff - will be better than in the Super Six. He'll be stronger and prime.

    Great fight.
