Everything will depend on what the ref allows.
Likely a fugly fight with many fouls, and stoppage from injury, DQ or such.

Could be some throw downs, many head butts, etc.

Who is the ref?

Neither one is an ATG, but I guess the best of the current crop, although most polls show most people realize Dirrell beat Froch. Froch is better than I thought he was, but Ward knows how to neutralize the other guy's methods better.

If I had to bet, I'd say Ward, especially as this is in the USA. But it might be better for boxing if Froch won.

Hope it is a good fight, but don't think it will be.

Ward will have seen how effective Johnson was-wining the first couple of rounds v Froch. And Froch will see what AA did in the first Rd or so--winning that v Ward.

We might though see some unexpected things.

sounds good on paper and i'd buy you a pint if this thread somehow increased carl's chances of success.

alas; it is not to be. ward will dominate him with hit and hold tactics and carl's slow and crude power shots won't be able to test ward's mettle.

It's something of a myth that "Abraham won the first three rounds". In fact, it's more accurate to say, that the first few rounds were relatively uneventful, and therefore pretty even. In round 1, one could argue that Ward won, by throwing more jabs, landing one or two clean shots. But if you gave the round to AA (he had a left hook and a solid jab in there), I would not complain. Or if you made it a 10-10 round, I would not complain.

 

Ward by schooling. I'll be rooting for Carl, but Ward bests him in every category but power, and it's been quite a while since Froch knocked anyone out.

speed is the problem, froch has a huge heart, great chin, great reach, good stamina, good power but he has technical flaws and is pretty slow.
I really hope he wins s6 the guy deserves it the most.

Billygoat Ward is so overrated on this site its unreal, this is a very close fight really cant understand why so many ppl think its an easy win for him.

One thing you can be sure of, Froch will give him the toughest night of his life

Can't understand how someone would be so confident on Froch winning.
