This was how you're explaining your answer? SMH.

How do Hopkins and Ward have very similar styles? Because they both can go rough on the inside? Man y'all need to step your boxing acumen up.

Give me a run down of why you think Ward is different stylistically from Hopkins... I mean every fighter is different, but can you come up with any major differences between them?

Sure off the top of my head. Ward dictates distance with his footwork and jab, Hopkins did too--but more with movement. Ward is almost an exclusively left handed fighter since the Kessler fight. So he uses his jab and left hook to set everything up, Hopkins didn't do that until the second half of his career. Ward is a better defensive fighter, by using different tactics. He steps back straight once then either turns his guy or angles out, while Hopkins is more of a circler. Hopkins had KO power (remember he was called the executioner??), and has always relied on a two hand attack. But the biggest difference is how they control range. Ward is on the front foot pivot, from the pocket almost all the time. B-hop fights from the outside in. I think you believe that since both can fight on the inside/rough they're similar, but that's about it.

This is without me going in depth, care to counter?

Wards footwork is some of the best in the sport. Footwork is often one of the most underrated things in boxing when in reality it's one of the most important. Wards footwork will be key in this fight. If he can control the distance here kovalev will be in trouble

I think they are similar because they are both fairly low volume defensive fighters who win fights with a combination of boxing behind a jab on the outside and roughing people up on the inside. Come one, man, they are clearly very similar, look how badly you struggled!

Like I said off the top of my head. You're using VERY generic terms "boxing behind a jab on the outside" "roughing people up on the inside" well no sh1t. And how you control range is a very big difference.......see Loma and Floyd.

It's gonna depend on how Ward takes his power because a fighter as good as Kovelev is bound to land something sooner or later.

ward is 1 of the best in the sport of moving into range, and taking step back ever so much so he is out of range of a counter.
he tends to take a half step back
