Ward was also big enough at SMW to do that though. Different proposition trying to push and pull in the pocket against a bigger man in Kovalev. Kovalev hits hard enough to hurt Ward even if isn't landing clean too, something I don't think Froch could do.

Just for curiosity, why some of todays threads have been deleted? One deleted post was about hating Golovkin..

I actually posted in that thread and quoted dude and everything. Maybe he missed it. This Kovalev is a master boxer thing is hilarious. He's a good boxer and a great puncher, that's it. Ward is an elite boxer. Shifting and being able to punch with power while moving only does so much.

Wards not going down unless he makes a massive mental error. Kovalev can't throw uppercuts or fight inside, or when he can't get distance. Ward could easily put him down with a body shot or a timing shot. Lol some of y'all are funny.

I think the honourable Mr Froch learned a lot from the Ward fight. He actually became a better fighter in his early 30's than he was in his 20's.

There certainly be some of that. Plus, may be, an extra trick or two that Ward might have prepared for Kovalev. Still, it will be a totally different fight, more reminiscent of Kovalev v Hopkins, rather than Ward v Froch.
