:deal Not only did Groves irritate him, but he had pure confidence and he flaunted it. He stared down Froch and Froch several times showed *****s in his armor, he likes to dish the sh-t but couldn't take it. Ofc the fight's stoppage was pure trash, makes no sense at all seeing as though Froch was hurt several times yet his warrior image gave him 'the benefit of the doubt'. I think Froch might retire now, this fight would have taken more out of him than the 2nd Kessler fight did.
Froch knows whats gonna happen in a rematch. His ego can't take that. That was a pure corrupt stoppage. Froch was rocked that bad and worse half the fight, Groves gets slightly buzzed once for 1.3 seconds while he is still throwing punches back, and Froch wasnt even landing clean and the ref jumps in.
You should have been here yesterday, pages and pages of threads slanting the decision and praising Groves/Bashing Froch Complete truth. Froch was hurt every round and took shots that if any other fighter took, would have been stopped, but the perception of being a 'warrior' prevented the ref from stepping in. It was bias towards Froch and the scorecards were garbage.
Froch wasn't affected... When he got knocked down then he was worried... His iron chin saved him throughout the fight with Groves knowing how to fight his no defence hands down style perfectly.
I have been saying for months that Groves was gonna outbox Froch and maybe even stop him. People were laughing at me. They ain't laughing now. I told them Groves was the real deal.
I think the opposite tbh, Froch was over-confident coming into the fight and looks like he took Groves lightly and was sure he would walk through him and knock him cold. Then Groves shocked everyone by proving that wasn't what was going to happen.
Froch was never intimidated, i think he became more wary and respectful of groves power after the first round
Froch prior to the fight said he going to flatten Groves. Backfired terribly. Froch was flattened. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHwPTe3hJ50
Look at Froch stumbling around after that KD. He looked as bad as Groves when they stopped it or worse.
I don't know whether he was intimidated or not, but he certainly looked different, even before the fight, than any time I've seen him. Maybe he had a poor camp, may r he just felt off, but he certainly didn't seem like the hungry animal I'm used to seeing. Groves did though.
:deal Well said. Froch reminds me alot of Canelo. Both guys are bullies who fall apart once a real man stands up to them.
there was something different in froch's response to groves's attitude for this fight , intimidated maybe, but the knock down happened just when froch was square.
Froch was definitely intimidated, to be honest he looked like he didn't want to be in there at for the first half of the fight. Everything was negative, worried look on his face, his eyes looked glazed, then he seemed to calm down a bit and warm to the task.
