FROCH: wat Dirrell is up against.

Based on this video Froch destroys Dirrell, afterall Froch has faced world class opposition. But look a little deeper and you'll notice that Pacal loves to trade (great for Froch) and Taylor runs out of gas every fight. Now I'm not saying Dirrell beats Froch but I am saying he may not make the same mistakes as Pascal and Taylor made.

That being said I'm really looking forward to the fight and hope that Froch can win.

Froch is a big and powerful SMW, but that's all I can say for him, really.

As much as I like Froch that so called bad ass was getting out boxed by Bad Intentions ..Unless Froch can walk Dirrell down and just impose his will he better hope Andre doesn't get on his bike and pop shot his ass all night .Man I can't wait for this !

I haven't looked forward to a fight as much as this for ages. I love what Froch brings to the sport, he's basically just a normal bloke who happens to be really ****ing hard! He's never going to win against the top guys on points so he HAS to knock the other guy out. Can't wait....

 

Im just not sold on Dirrel. The kid has looked impressive and flashy, but Froch is awkward to fight, has an excellent chin, and is very heavy handed, he always has a punchers chance.

Dirrel might outslick and outbox Froch, but if Froch finds the openings like he does, Dirrel could be in for a tough ****ing night. If he cant hurt Froch or earn his respect, he has got to be prepared to fight smart for 12 rounds. I dont know if he can. He has never had to be that disciplined before in a fight.

Say what you will about Froch, but he has fought better competition than Dirrel has and has won, decisively as well, and has shown the stamina to press the fight in every minute of every round. Dirrel has looked good against B-level opponents, but Froch is a step up for him. It could be a coming out party, or he might crash and burn. Froch is more proven.

 

You're overstating the claim that Froch was getting outboxed by Taylor.
Very few rounds were blow outs.
I hear it so often that "Taylor was winning every round until he was KOd in the 12th".

That's utter bull****.
Rounds that Taylor won were not dominating rounds with one guy (Taylor) exposing the other (Froch). I think you could have given Froch the 4th. And starting with and including the 6th Froch started to win rounds.
This whole, "Taylor was outboxing him for 11 rounds" is either a lie or a parrotting of someone else's lie.

Even after the fight Froch commented on his starting slow. He reference his first fight in the States against Henry Porras where Froch started too fast and almost exhausted himself - partly due to the anxiety of having his first Stateside fight. He stated that he was trying to pace himself more so with the Taylor fight.

But that's all irrelevant.... Froch won the fight. Plain and simple.
This has got to be the only fight I can think of where so many try to invalidate the clear victor. "Taylor punched himself out"... really? How? His punch out put on a round to round basis wasn't that high. "Taylor usually gets winded late." Really? Are you sure that's not just based off of other excuses to invalidate Pavlik's KO over Taylor? Because it sounds that way. Considering the fact that Taylor hasn't been known to punch himself to sheer exhaustion to the point of just collapsing in the 12th and final round. As if Froch's lead rights on Taylors head from rounds 1-11 played NO part whatsoever.
Tails Taylor wins, Heads Froch loses. Way to set up an impossible victory for the guy who actually won the fight.

 

Very good points. No arguing that Taylor was winning the first half, but it was obvious to me at least that Taylor was having to fight his ass off to win rounds, it wasnt as if Froch was being outclassed.

I had a feeling around the 6th that Taylor was going to lose. He had rounds in the bank, but he was fighting hellishly hard to keep Froch off him, and Froch wasnt visibly tired or discouraged in the slightest. Taylor was ahead, but the momentum had steadily been building toward Froch.

I also thought Froch won more rounds than he was given credit in the 2nd half. Taylor had the faster hands and combos no doubt, but Froch's punches were heavier and Taylor was getting driven backwards by them and doing more to avoid getting hit, it was obvious who the stronger man was.
