Ive just seen Froch and Kessler in there last fights but i believe Kessler wouldnt have much of a problem.:bbb
Can Kessler actually heal before the Froch fight? Otherwise all Froch has to do is open up the deep cuts Kessler got from Ward's headbutts and it is all over!!!!
The desiding factor will be Kessler's mental state ... if he can get over the Ward-loss and find the will to box again - the hunger - then Froch is in for a rough night. If Kessler doesn't get "fit" mentally - Froch will run him over. Kessler has heart - we saw in the Andrade-fight, where he went all out in round 12 - even though he didn't have to - we saw it against Calzaghe, where he gave it all in round 12 - trying to knock Calzaghe out ... but against Ward he simply gave up at the first sign of trouble... Kessler will need massive mentaltraining for the Froch-fight if he is to win it.
The road to giving up or stop fighting hard is a whole lot shorter when one fighter feels the ref applies a different set of rules to him. Kessler must have thought that not only was Ward fighting him, so was the ref. The ref didn't even give Ward a warning. What the heck was that about??? The Froch fight will show what Kessler is made of. It is do or die! More than ever does he need to fire on all cylinders. For me Kessler's problems are still movement-tactics-punch load. If these problems are not dealt with Froch could very well take Kessler out of the tournament.
Froch beat Taylor only because of better stamina. That is not a recipe to be repeated against any other fighter, virtually any world class boxer has better stamina than Taylor. Froch beat Dirrell because Dirrel was every bit the nervous untested fighter who didn't use his advantages and because of poor scoring and a bad ref. Not exactly a gameplan to repeat. Based on his ability, how is Froch going to beat Kessler? Even with Kessler's flaws, Froch is still easier to hit.
Well. To me, Froch was faster against Dirrel than Kessler was against Ward, although speed was once one of Kesslers best assets (foot more than hand, but his handspeed was good). If Kessler cannot get back to his old speed, and loses to Froch, he should simply complete the tournament and then retire. Without a good amount of speed, his style does not work, at least at the top. On a second note, if noone kicks Kessler in his behind and makes him RETALIATE when he's fouled, he will get roughed up from literally everyone who saw how Ward did that with no reaction from Kessler. The blueprint is there. Get a FIGHTERS mentality, and yourself in top athletic shape (similar to what Taylor did), or lose.
Watch some Froch fights pre Taylor, you might change your mind...the Pascal fight should be required viewing
Froch is riding the crest of a wave; his momentum and confidence are sky high. Kessler's stock has dropped significantly and in truth, we do not know whether Kessler has declined since the Calzaghe fight, whether he is simply ring rusty due to his inactivity since the Calzaghe fight or whether Ward was just a stylistically wrong for any version of Kessler. The mental part is a big part of the game; we do not know how Kessler will react to being systematically dismantled by a fighter he was expected to beat and lose his title in the process. I don't think Kessler will suddenly discover angles, head movement and lateral movement overnight. Additionally, there is trouble in the Kessler camp. Froch has to be the favourite.
Totally disagree. There are gonna be lots of exchanges in this fight with both fighters taking punches. For me Froch will start to get the better of these in the mid rounds and then stop him late.
could somebody please explain why people think that kesslers so good. I look at him fight and not move his head and think he's very ver beatable
We'll just have to wait and see. Plenty of time to speculate on this fight :good Basically I think Froch is too sloppy and too slow for Kessler. Anyway agree to disagree.
