On the facebook chat last week, Froch said he would happily give Degale a shot at his title if he gets past Brandon Gonzeles.
That match wouldn't excite me, I would like Froch to finally travel to the US for a big bout. Maybe get a go at Chavez after all. But I know for a fact its a match Eddie Hearn is dreaming about, domestic fights sell very well.
Think Hearn wants to replicate the World Title domestic merry go round of the 90's and try and keep all the profits in house. Not sure where DeGale is at these days, he's had a few soft fights and lack lustre performances since Groves. Gonzales should be a good test to see where he's at. If he performs badly and scraps a decision, I can't see the public interested in Froch v DeGale if Froch wins. Although its possible to make Grove v DeGale II due to previous history if he wins. Regardless of how **** he looks.
Indeed. Thats a good match up and will show where DeGale is. I actually think DeGale is very talented and when boxing and not laying on the ropes, has a shot at any SMW in the world. I just think DeGale may be going a bit stale and if that has happened it could be a problem when he steps up further. I think DeGale could well go to the top
Yeah, I think Gonzales will win He drew with Oosthuizen but that guy is like 6 ft 4 and awkward Should be a good fight
Can't see Froch sticking around for Degale if he beats Groves, like he's said before... he want's to see his name up in lights in Vegas.
