I liked what Froch said the other night, Get Groves & Degale to fight and Froch will fight the winner, But i highly doubt that would happen!
Could see Froch vacating and fighting Chavez in Vegas while Groves and Degale fight for the vacant title with Froch fighting the winner?
Does anyone think Hearn has actually spoken to Arum about a Chavez fight, he always says talks are ongoing I think he just tells Froch that ! Hearn has NO interest in making that fight happen
Groves is in for a potential title fight against Dirrel, so it could put a spanner in the works for Degale v Groves scenarios. Froch deserves his retirement fight in Vegas. If he's lost his desire then fighting Degale would be a bad move. But then again we could all be wrong and Froch is trying to spice up a potential fight with Degale? To make this fight a goer, they will need to hype it up a lot more from what it is already. Froch holds the cards but he doesn't have the Vegas card in his hands.
Yeah i don't think the Chavez fight happens, Arum would be a idiot to put him in with froch when he has fought what once in 15-18 months? Froch would take him apart. Apart from The Ward fight who could he really fight apart from Degale and Chavez... Edwin RodrÃguez Maybe ?
Exactly. I think Froch murders him and Chavez isn't skilled enough to box him. He also likes to brawl which plays into Froch's hands. Would be entertaining as long as it lasts.
yes he should he will still be on the p4p list and is ranked the best super middle weight in the world why keep giving the up comers chances which he never got
I just wonder the way Froch was talking about it he other day, that the IBF might just let him extend the date, and make DeGale v whoever the interim champ and then they have to fight Froch next year. The boards care about sanctioning fees, and Carl Froch is the money in the division
I think this is a pretty risky fight for Carl. Chavez isn't skilled but he's big strong and can take a shot and for all his weight issues he can usually fight well to the end of the fight. They seem similar in their strengths and I would if the size difference might work against Carl but then again I stopped picking against Carl long ago he normally finds away to win
Heard this bollox almost everytime a potential opponent is named. Apart from Ward, i don't see anybody at the weight coming remotely close to beating Froch, even at his advanced age.
i hate when people say that and go on like that even though froch nearly always has the disavantages on paper yet always wins
