its not baseless. the way he fights makes an abraham ko of froch the most likely outcome. kessler should be able to stop him if he can find some of his old form. ward not so much and i don't know who said ward would knock him out but i don't see that. froch is a bit too tough to be ko'd by ward and the whole headbutting thing wouldnt go over quite so well with carl.

you simply can't have the limited mobility of carl AND take as many shots as he does b/c of where your hands are held and where your chin is hung and not get stopped by arthur. aa may be out of the tourney if ward were his next opponent but froch is perfect for him to get back on track with.

Right, let me make sure i understand correctly ?

If kessler wins ? the Ward fight was a one off and Froch is exposed ?

If Froch wins ? Ward ruined Kessler and Froch has got lucky against another "shot" fighter ? :patsch

If i were as "lucky" as some people make Froch out to be i'd spend my time betting winners and filling in lottery tickets, not risking my neck in the ring.

I see what you're saying, but I think Froch's chin is THAT good. In all his fights as a pro and amatuer, he's been down once and wasn't badly hurt. It's just a truly great chin and there's certainly no reason to suggest it will be broken down yet. After a few more fights, it could happen but not yet. He will eat their shots.

Kessler knew he needed to make changes and he's made them and with this fight in his backyard I see a pissed off Kessler of old showing up and Froch been wide open to him.

no kessler has looked poor in his last few fights, imo.

and no to the froch being exposed, either. he is what he is and i don't need him losing for me to realize that.

he's a tough guy, willing to fight anyone and is good for the sport. but kess should, and aa will, knock him out. i do not think ward will.

i don't hope carl froch loses. i actually like him and his willingness to mix it up w/ anyone. he also is funny as hell to listen too. if he proves me wrong and bulls right through kessler and aa i would happy as hell. i just can't see it happening.

My opinion exactly. Whatever happens Froch will get no credit. If he smashed every fighter in the Super Six there would still be those who say he's been lucky. Love is blind but hate is blinder! I just take satisfaction from seeing their predictions ruined time and again and picking up my winnings from the bookies time and again. :good

You have to take into account Kessler's cuts. They could open easily and Froch could score a TKO.

Hey,i respect your opinion even if i don't agree, but yes Kessler hasn't looked the same since the Calzaghe loss imo, against Perdomo his timing and accuracy was woeful (watch how many shots he misse's with after he has Perdomo on the ropes)
I like Froch, and i know he is no technician in the ring but like you say "he is what he is" and maybe thats what intrigues so many.
I still think the Kessler fight is a 50/50 though,i see Kessler having the best of the early rounds and i'm sure he'll sting Froch, but i see Froch getting better as the rounds go on and winning a UD or late TKO,having said that Froch's machismo might get him into trouble if he starts looking for the KO. Lets hope its a good fight, and both boxers leave the ring healthy.

froch will not stop coming that is for sure. who knows...kessler may just wilt after a strong start. but he managed to finish the ward fight on his feet despite repeated headbutts and cuts and his corner almost nudging him in the direction of stopping. we'll see. i like both guys so i don't exactly have a dog in the race.

and the whole "is what he is" is what is attractive about him. overcoming his shortcomings to do great things in spite of those shortcomings. its almost more fun to watch a flawed fighter win. case in point the guy in my avatar. its also fun when you like said flawed fighter and everyone else is hating on him :thumbsup:deal

When are you clowns going to realise that Kessler was never that good.
He's beaten nobody worthy of note in his entire career he's most famous for losing a fight.
