Calzaghe would have lost an immediate rematch with Kessler in 2007/8, and now probably gets stopped even though Kessler himself has badly degraded (but at least stayed in fighting shape and active against mostly top-shelf opp.)

Joe could maybe beat Green, Johnson, Abraham.

Yeah, HYSTERICAL. Obviously being several years out of shape and strung out on drugs, he'd be able to come right back and dominate the field...right?

The only reason I'd favor him over the three mentioned is because they are the dregs of the "top tier" at SMW and are all slow enough that even 50% of his old speed & reflexes would be enough to see the task to completion.

    Go back to school, Prof.

:rofl How in the name of Dickens would Kessler have beaten Calzaghe in an immediate rematch?:verysad Have you even seen the first fight? Calzaghe nearly had him out of there with a body shot and he dominated going down the stretch. And this is a Calzaghe who had Glass Hands, yet he outclassed his closest rival in a unification match.

Your comment deserves an F- at best. :barf

IB... I think Prof (who apparently needs a fork & knife to eat a sandwich) got hung up on your statement that Kessler would have beaten Calzaghe in a rematch.

He'll come back as either GlassJawsExist, Alien (the replacement for Predator, which got banned), MetalMandible, joe boxer, or... or... the original HEADBANGER.

Calzaghe didn't Lacy Kessler, that's for sure.

When can we expect the next Stalinist purge of the chinchecker faction? Surely any day now. They seem to breed at an alarming rate.

Calzaghe indeed did close stronger, but had to adapt on the fly after some difficulty. Kessler was his toughest challenge.

    It was a close fight.

Kessler is better at the x's and o's type of strategy, where Calzaghe is more of a "think on his feet" type. Where Calzaghe made the real-time in-ring adjustments, it would be Kessler viewing tape and making proper tweaks to his game plan before the rematch. He'd give Joe a completely new look the second time around, and we all know that Joe was on his last legs in terms of ability by that point. I think had Kessler caught him around the time of the Hopkins or Jones matches (where JC looked a bit poor by his standards, having already deteriorated from the 1st Kessler fight) he'd have had a very good chance. Have always felt this way.

:verysad:verysad Kessler fights one way and one way only, one-twos, bodyshots, uppercuts. You are completely over-analysing the fight.

Kessler was humble enough to admit that Calzaghe was the better man. He would have lost a wider decision in the next fight. :smooch

HEADBANGER is the only one of your kind who ends up resorting to calling people out on their vCash. The way you lay down the :rofl:patsch 's is also a very clear pattern.

You suck at disguising yourself.

That vCash total is going to be over 1.5 X your vCash total when Canelo beats Kermit tonight, and over 2 X your vCash total if he stops him before 1:30 of R10.

    :hey
