Whatever you say, Carl Froch is a tough fighter. He doesn't have the greatest skills, but has a heart of a COBRA.... He beat kessler fair and square with his jab and some very powerful shots, while kessler mainly hit the body... Go Froch, ur record is good!:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy

He didn't CLEARLY beat him at all. It was a close fight.

There's certainly nothing to dislike in his approach though, very entertaining.

Perhaps the reason why he was looking more tired than usual in the later rounds was cos of some of those body punches...

He was definitely hurt by body punches. Froch was just too passive to have any claim to victory, and those who say he controlled the fight with his jab not true, it didn't land it was a nuisance in the fight compared to other punches.

There was a great body punch around the 7th/8th round? I can't remember. Heard it quite loud on the tv though! I think the body shots were part of the game plan. Taylor fight, Froch came on strong at the end and was full of stamina. Same with Pascal etc. Kessler made a much larger commitment to body punching right from the 1st round.

I actually thought Froch's jab was throwing Kessler off a little in the first few rounds. A very unorthodox jab!

I had it close win to Kessler.

Very good performance by Carl considering that it looked like he's having an injury in his left leg. Carl is stronger of the two and did land the cleaner punches but Kessler's workrate and aggression won the fight.

Great fight, no running. Props to Mikkel and Carl.

We all know Froch is tough, but he lost the fight tonight, he demands respect for fighting top oppostion since winning the WBC belt ( I belive he wouldve fought top level without the super 6 touney ) but we'll seeing him often looking exposed, but at least he is in there doing it, and not getting knocked out and while being giving plenty of trouble he has given all his oppoenents worries as well

Just like Dirrell beat him fair and square, right?

Look the fact is, Kessler did just enough to take the belt off Froch. Yes it wasn't as wide as some of them judges, but it was hardly a robbery. The writing has been on the wall for a long time, and Froch suffering his first loss shouldn't really come as a surprise. His 2 fights prior to this were life and death in which he narrowly escaped from the jaws of defeat. He put up a great fight, but lost. End of

Froch's jab was annoying at best. He didn't really know how to use it against Kessler, credit to Kessler for keeping out of harms way.

I don't know if body punches was part of the game plan, but I would believe you if you told me. MK said he knew he hurt Froch with a body punch in rd 1 and kept going to the body because of that.

I agree Froch was tired in the last rounds more so than he usually is, probably moslty because of the body punches, but Kessler didn't give him many breaks either.

lol i dont know what the hell the thread starter is talking about but Froch didnt win no new fans in his LOSING effort. It was a good fight and all but by no means did he win. It was a very close but clear decision for Kessler. Just sounds like another Froch dick grinder to me.

Robotnic beat that dude man. Froch took the late rounds when Kessler was gased and a sitting duck but he could not get a knockdown or a KO. **** happens. One thing though.. Kessler cant fight.. he can box.. but as far as brawling.. he sucks ass. His left hook is the most flimsy slapping punch I have ever seen. Its like his wrist just goes full on gay. I said this 2 years ago and it is more apparent in this fight when he had to throw blow for blow hooks with Froch. Froch was getting tagged and outworked the entire early part of the fight. Froch cant claim any kind of victory and after the fight he knew he ****ing lost.

Froch was robbed. The guy showed better skills in all areas. There is no reason the scorecards should have taken that long to tabulate. At best for Kessler it should have been a draw but I had Froch winning by two points. He won the championship rounds. 117-111?! 115-113(correct) 116-112?!

    Bull****.

He won in my opinion, or it could have even been a draw or split decision, but how the hell could it be a unanimous decision with 116-112 and 117-111? That is IMPOSSIBLE.

I don't see how anyone could say this fight was a clear win for either guy... the only clear win was for the fans.

It was so even... I would need to watch again and score each round to give a score... but I wouldn't argue with people who had it for kessler or froch , as long as it was close.
