I had Kessler 115-113. Good job by both guys, but I thought Kessler won the fight in the middle rounds.

I think he might have won some fans - but not if his couple of most rabid fans continues to make stir up threads like this. Og if Carl himself cannot aknowledge that he lost without making excuses. Then people will give Carl the bird.

I had it 7-5 for Kessler. That being said, I would have no problem with 7-5 for Froch. I was a little disappointed at Kessler's tentative and apparently shot way of fighting tonight. I truly think that a lot was taken out of Kessler against Ward and that Allan Green is going to knock him out when they meet up.

I'm tired of people saying he doesn't have the greatest skills. He showed some of the best skills next to Andre Ward.

He was slipping punches all night, something people said he couldnt do. He used feints and didn't telegraph his punches, he was landing on Kessler at will and outboxing Kessler who is supposed to be a great boxer.

So which is it? He clearly outboxed Kessler and hes still not skilled?

Carl was robbed. When we analyze the tapes we can see for ourselves. There is no way in hell he lost that fight. At worst it could have been a draw, or a split decision. Those scores were impossible and probably decided upon before the fight even started.

:huh You must have been watching something way different to me. If anything Kessler was overly aggressive, he actually managed to get himself countered by Froch such was his sloppiness and desperation to do well. And y'know, getting countered by Froch is an achievement in poor defence really.

Too many people judge the fight based on fan reaction, after all it was a home court advantage!!! Anyway Froch landed the harder shots, and fought really fair, where as kessler was attacking the body mostly and held more often. You do not win a fight if you just throw punches in my opinion, besides Froch was the more accurate puncher. The face says it all. Froch had barely a nose cut, where as kessler coudn't see... :D

Also the reason i said Forch doesnt have the greatest skills is bc he doesn't compared to the best. He's good, but there is always room for improvement. He needs to work on his speed a little. Also I noticed some stamina problems with froch i guess he wasn't 100%... Either way he won in my opinion :)

I feel like I'm in bizarro world. I'm British and I thought Froch clearly lost. He got caught on the end of Kessler's jab, was fighting Kessler's fight and only had success in short spurts.

Backing up is not out-boxing someone.

Are some Froch fans still ******ed? Yes.
Is Froch still a bit of a knob? Yes.

Did I gain a little bit of respect for his skill level? Yes.

I guess any goodwill he earned in the ring tonight for showing a bit more than I expected of him has been offset by the outspoken ******ed fans crying robbery.

I'm sure he is grateful to have fans that make people dislike him!
