You don't need to be TT the business of boxing has always had the young upcoming fighter calling out the biggest names in their division.

Calzaghe in 2008 was out to get as much coin as he could bottom line hence the Jones Jr fight.Free agent and the biggest money fight available.

He had fought Hopkins previously and had afterwards bring a court case in which he had not been paid by a promoter you won't need two guesses to know who!

they wouldn't have questioned why he fought froch - they wouldhave said "calzaghe business as usual" for fighting another apparent weakling.
after 10 years of setting that mould, no one would question why joe was fighting yet another subnational - in fact barely anyone would notice it as with the rest of his prelacy defences.

froch DID get the fight, joe ran away from that mando.

why would joe get no credit for fighting young froch? froch would have went on to immediately win titles, so it would be a LOT of credit.

Calzaghe would have ruined Froch just like he did to Lacy...

Froch should thank his God he didnt get the beating of a lifetime hence able to make decent paycheques in the future....
