Yes I think the Ref did an awful job, he was incompotent. I can't comment on Ward because I didn't see the fight. Assuming the headbutts were intentional, that would be wrong, and he should be punished for it, but to say that rabitt punching is a lesser offence...c'mon man, you're trying to knock a guy out in there not trying to give him brain damage or put him in a coma. You say because of the punches Froch throws, that these things happen, but you can justify headbutts in the same way, that if you throw certain punches at certain times, there could be a clash of heads. Besides, Froch knew exactly what he was doing, it didn't just "happen".
who are we kidding people. Froch doesn't have the skill to take one round from ward. Froch is nothing more than a eurobum.
Don't forget elbows! Why do you think that the ref was incompetent? Please explain. Watch the Ward fight then you will know what I'm talking about, especially if you think that the FVD ref was incompetent. Froch is not purposefully a dirty fighter and he does not throw ELBOWS and HEADBUTTS, which imo are worse then Rabbit punches to an oppenent who was on the floor most of the time anyway. About the 'clashes of head' ask anyone here and they will tell you there was nothing accidental about it Ward was coming in with a head butt and holding and all the ref did was just saying "Let go Mikkel"
Ward will only win if he fights froch in united states, anywhere else and his dirty tactics will be punished severly.
I'm not sure Froch can beat Ward. However, one thing I'm definitely sure of is that Froch will not let Ward get away with the bullsh*t Kessler let Ward get away with. If Ward tries that crap with Froch, he'll get what Dirrell got and then some. That would be a war.
I don't like Froch's chances, but I do seeing that fight ending in a DQ for one of them because they will turn it into a street brawl.
I thought he was incompotent because after Froch's repeated punches to the back of the head in previous rounds (which he should've been warned for), he did it again in I think it was the 8th round. So he should'v had a point taken off in the 8th round. The point taken off Dirrell was not justified. Froch fans like to claim that Dirrell spent the whole night running, and also spent the whole night clinching, which is a contradiction. Which one is it? IMO there wasn't anywhere near enough clinching to justify the point deduction. I've seen far worse. Why did the ref do it? probably because of the pressure of the hometown fans.
It's amazing how delusional people become. Ward against Froch would be disasterous for Carl. He was exposed againt Dirrell. Froch is a tough guy, loads of heart and dangerous to the end. But he can be outboxed, and Ward will do to Carl pretty much what he did to Kessler.
Hang yourself in the nearest pub please. Froch was almost knocked out against Dirrell and needed to be given the same green light Ricky Hatton was given to apply UFC strategy while being immune to warnings.
Nothing to do with the hometown crowd, and please WATCH THE WARD FIGHT. Absolutely was taking the point off Dirrell justified, infact I thought it shoud have been sooner. Dirrells plans were to spoil, not to battle, Dirrell deserved the point off because he spent half the fight holding, at worst maybe Froch should have been warned but what else could he do he do again to someone who was practically on the floor all the time, Froch intentions were never dirty but Dirrells were, and Ward was even worse. Have you seen worse? so have I, last night. The ref in Ward v Kessler was like Sven Ottke vs Robin Reid
you're spot on there mate, but imo froch himself has become predictable,he was awful in the taylor & dirrell fights, then again he got the 'W' so i cant knock him too much
