I don't believe Bute is faster or hits harder than Dirrell and he didn't dominate Froch.
Taylor was another who had fast hands and decent pop (maybe more so at Middleweight) but even after a nightmare start Froch began walking him down, beating him to the punch and landing the heavier shots.
Another factor that may influence the outcome will be the home advantage, the FM arena is a very intimidating place for Frochs opponents,i was amazed at how cool and composed Dirrell was when faced with 9000 Froch fans making a lot of noise.
All will be answered on fight night.May the best man win.

Bute is very fast similar to Ward def not faster but close

Im shocked after the Ward fight that Froch's camp would take another fast and slick counter fighter I thought theyd avoid this sort of fight at least as the return bout

Froch i think is too slow in the handspeed department and when he throws a right he will miss and not have enough time to pull it back and eat a left to the body

the body left may be enough to discourage him, or even put him away

Bute is a totally different fighter than Dirrell, speed ain't everyting, Bute has plenty of it even tho it is slower than Dirrell. Bute is far more disciplined and has tones more ring generalship. Bute footwork is calculated and better used at his maximum potential, Dirrell footwork is generally wasted motions used predominantly defensive and his power is certain not on same level as Bute's.

The fact is you can't dominate by running and hugging.

The fact that Ward said he was surprised how slow Froch is also means you don't need to be the fastest in the world to be many levels above Carl in that area.

Well, Dirrell ran all night. This won't happen against Bute, and when Dirrell stucked his feet and traded, he beat Froch to the punch. As for Taylor, he gassed, that's the only reason Froch was able to walk him down. I think the key is there. Can Froch impose his strenghts on a tired Bute at the end of the fight? I don't think so but I'm sure it's part of Froch's plan.

:good I thought Dirrel lost but I felt if he dug in and planted big shots he would have won, shame it took him til the end of the fight to do that

I thought Dirrel had a good shot of winning a rematch, now im not sure after the big lay off its hard to tell where he is at

I think Bute will beat Froch

Bute will come to fight. Dirrell didn't. Right off the bat, this will give a non-Dirrell perspective to judges scoring wise.

Why can't Bute fans stop hating on Dirrell?

I don't hate Dirrell . Is a good fighter but he acts like little *****.
Watch that fight against Arthur Abraham. He simulates and then cries.

Agains Froch , Dirrell did a great job.

I must admit I was worried before the Johnson fight, because Bute looked weird at the weight in to my eyes. However, his work rate was great from start to finish in that fight so you're probably right.

Dirrell vs Abraham was a really interresting fight. Dirrell displayed great talent and power in the first 8-9 rounds , knocking down the king for the first time in his career (I believe). However, the fight was starting to get competitive in the last rounds, something we did not see when Abraham fought Froch and Ward.

Dirrell looked a bit like Khan against Peterson in those last moments and I think the two are pretty similar. Great flashy talent with lots of handspeed, but both lacks some key fundamentals. Their footwork and mind can't follow their hands. They can beat anybody, but can also be schooled.

I'm not hating on him, I'm telling facts. He did ran against Froch. When he didn't, he had the best in about all the exchanges. His strategy cost him the fight (though I had Dirrell winning). Against Abraham, Dirrell was impressive, controlling the center of the ring instead of moving anywhere but close of his opponent. Where is hate in that?

It is also true that Dirrell is away from boxing for a long time and it could have stopped his progession. Worse, he is promoting himself now. That is a so bad idea. It smells spoiled talent all the way. He is a tough opponent, and he has to market himself. Promoters won't call him if they don't have to. He may be screwed up.

Look who's talking. :patsch :rofl

Besides, I don't hear you going "Why can't Froch fans stop hating on Bute" re: some extremists who seriously oblige to Froch KTFO Bute based on Bute being some protected no-chin baby. ;)
