dirrell is not willing to take a punch or risk taking a punch as to counter, he lacks hearth and runs instead of using the push to counter. froch will pressure him but bute will be ready for that type of fight so im not to worried.:bbb
Froch needs to press behind the jab. He has a nice jab when he commits to it. I just do not see how Froch will be able to stand up to Butes body shots. Those are some nasty shots and lets face it they will land on Froch unless he uses that jab to control distance.
Bute has an inside game better than Froch, but what do you know. Froch was outclassed and outboxed by Ward even if you don't like to admit so. Was it easy, No. Froch is never easy to beat but it's beatable. If the past his prime Kessler could do it, in his prime Bute surely has a great chance. If shot but still decent Taylor almost finished the fight heading to a points victory surely prime Bute can finish what a MW with great stamina problems couldn't. If Glen Johnson destroyed his eardrum surely Bute can do some damage to any body-part of his (liver). If inexperienced, undisciplined and amateurish looking Dirrell almost won a decision in UK surely Bute might have a good chance as well.
Taylor lost every round after the 6th,and was dropped twice in the 12th,so how could he have possibly won on points ? This myth about Taylor schooling Froch for 11,3/4 rounds then suddenly gassing is exactly that A MYTH . Using the common opponent triangulation is also flawed.Bute beating Johnson more convincingly than Froch, does not mean Bute beats Froch. Froch will make Bute fight for every minute of every round,Bute may be the better technician, but there are still question marks about his stamina and punch resistance.
Taylor was ahead before the 12th and was gassing from the middle of the fight. There is absolutely no question about Bute's punch resistance nor stamina but if it makes you feel good, I let you think there is. You'll be disappointed in May though.
Bute has already experienced that to the extreme, it also gives him plenty of chances to counter-punch the hell out of Froch. He is as prepared as he could ever be for that kind of strategy. Froch one way or another needs to hurt Bute badly and end him. At that level it is extremely hard to do that especially without putting himself in harms way. Froch needs to gable to have a chance at beating Bute. If Froch has the same aproch as he had against Ward the fight is already lost. He needs to be wild, reckless, to have a high work-rate and great pressure. Bute's style takes a lot of stamina because of all the head movements, body sways, all the feints etc.
Bute was being beaten to the punch by McGee during the early rounds. Most of Butes punches were falling short or missing the target,he was being countered constantly, outjabbed and was rattled by a McGee left hand in the third round.
Froch is not a southpaw, also Bute would be far more focused for this fight than the Magee one. You could bring this argument more when it comes of a Bute-Ward fight than Bute-Froch.
Before the 12 round, the press row judges had it 2, 1 up for Taylor and even...... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y15IeCy4iXs[/ame]
You should not watch boxing on bad streams, you miss lots of things and see things that never happened. Magee is a southpaw. Bute had not faced a southpaw for many years before Magee, who had just fought a southpaw in his previous fight. That explains why The fight was something like even after 4. After that, Bute found his marks and the outcome became predictable. After the fight, Magee said he was surprised how it was difficult to touch Bute. I'll take his word before your's. Anyway, I don't think Froch has time to become a southpaw.
