Zakman, as one who believes that fights should be allowed to reach a satisfactory condition, how many British Stoppages out of 10 would you rate yesterday's referee intervention?

Froch proved his legendary toughness by not only rising from the knockdown shot but eating several more just like it over the subsequent five or six rounds.

did you see the combination groves landed on froch in rd6. Wow, no idea how he stayed up through that. Having said that, there no doubt his chin is amazing but rd1 showed everyone that likes to forget.. he's just a man and any man can be hurt.

Good thread, Zakman. Glass Jaws exist in boxing. Any more of this action and we may be forced to dust down the editing suite and make a spinoff film - Froch, the Snake With No Chin.

Froch has a great chin, anyone would have gone down if they walked onto a power shot like that while trying to throw their own punch.

Froch has a good chin, no doubt, but if it had not been for Froch's referee he would have lost by TKO, KO or UD...........

I am sure that Golovkin would stop Froch. Bute has a rematch with Froch in Canada if he does not lose his next fight. I think Bute will stop Froch this time..............

It's a nine, if not a ten. One of the worst stoppages I have seen. The guy was on his feet taking punches.

Today's refs are ridiculously squeamish. The stop fights, basically, for no reason at all.

ALL fights should go their NATURAL conclusion. To a decision, or to a KO, with one guy on the floor, unable to rise. Period.

Taylor dropped him as well. With a right cross as I recall.

thank **** some of you wrote your comments. i was starting to get very annoyed with this site with shitty views from people who know nothing like saying froch doesnt have a sgoo of a chin as we thought. thankfully there are some of you who said no his chin is iron. trust me say what you want about froch abut his chin is in top 3 p4p in the world right now if not the best. groves hit him with at least 4 shots in that fight that would have kod loads of top fighters froch still there banging away. also look back to the left - right that kessler hit him with in there fight. kessler uses those shots to ko a lot of world class figgters and froch just blasted back.
froch = terrible defence but amazing chin quality jab and will to win. thats why he is is the best in the world bar ward

His entire caree is built on that chin.

His house, his car... his entire bank balance... he owes to that chin.

Without it he'd be British level at best.

Just in this one fight alone he should have been knocked down 10 times. This fight proved what a lot of people knew about Froch already - that he's a slow and technically limited boxer with a cast iron chin and great conditioning.

Yeah.. let's go back to before gloves and gum-shields... let the fighters get to choose between gloves dipped in glass or concrete in the padding....and while we're at it, let's get rid of the ambulance crews... to hell with their free seats and hourly wage... give them to the blood-hungry heathens who are not scared of a sily bit of death. Arrrrgh!!
