When he signed with Matchroom it was a five fight deal so that's Johnson, Ward, Bute, Mack and then Kessler. I wonder if he'll stick with Matchroom or promote his own fights.

Quite often a contract for a fight will include a contract extension. Even so I couldn't imagine Froch & Hearn parting ways. I would imagine the deal they have is quite favorable towards Froch compared to other promoter/fighter contracts and Hearn has done a great job.

if he loses I think he will retire.

he wins he will probably sign on a fight by fight basis.

This is probably right. Can't see him fighting on if he loses and even if he wins he won't hang around long.

Matchrooms delivered for Froch, as a previous poster said, loses he retires, wins he will be on a fight to fight contract.

Froch won't go out a loser should Kessler win which I think is a distinct possibility. He'd want a last big fight in Nottingham for sure.

Can't see him leaving matchroom at all its all working out for him on sky after years of inconsistency with tv deals and MH so I'd expect him to stay.

Depends if Calzaghe has been in his ear  money talks, regardless of how close Eddie and Froch are as mates, money talks, Calzaghe knows how its done, all it takes some advice and seed is sewn :yep

Not so sure about that. As long as theirs big fights out there and he keeps winning, Froch will keep fighting.
