Come on, put it in perspective. The guy has just come off a training camp for a big fight, travel plans turned to chaos, of course he is going to be on edge! people just deal with things in different ways. Perhaps the smallest things bug Froch when in that short period after final fight preparations, and the fight itself. The last thing he needed was the flight delays. So I can understand if he's a little on edge and anxious.

He's fighting away again and I seem to remember he was a little nervous in the Taylor fight, again, i remember him saying that he had no time to warm up because he was virtually pushed straight in to the ring after the last undercard fight. Therse kinda things can throw you off your game a bit. But I am sure, that now he's in Denmark, he can relax a little and should be ready to go come fight night!

He's now talking about carrying an injury.

He downplays by saying he's fought before with injuries, but still....

"I'm never ever 100% for any fight.

"I've had all sorts of injuries and knocks and bangs in the past. I'm not going to disclose what injuries I've got but I'm never injury-free anyway."

"If you go back to the Jean Pascal world title fight, I had a perforated eardrum and a broken rib - it's all injuries and hindrances that niggle you until the first bell goes.

"If I'd have pulled out of every fight for an injury I wouldn't be a world champion now and I would have missed out on about eight or nine fights.

"I've fought with a torn cruciate ligament against the doctor's advice, I've fought with a broken hand twice because I knew the operation would put me out for seven or eight months so I had injections in my hand.

"I've fought with a broken rib and that was a world title fight, so going into a fight with a bit of a niggle or an injury is no big deal."

"I really wanted it to be a unification fight and it didn't happen, so that was disappointing to say the least."

"The WBA belt is still tied up in the tournament though, so it's not all doom and gloom.

"I'll still get my opportunity to fight for the WBA title, as long as I keep winning and defending my belt, which is first and foremost is what I'm concentrating on."

"You never know what he's going to bring to the table. He might opt to jab, move and keep out of my way and put on a bit of a boxing match."

"Once I start hitting him, though, he might start holding."

"You can never call a fight."

    ---

A lot more negativity. Talking about going into the fight with injuries, about how he's disappointed the WBA title isn't on the line, how Kessler might put in a bit of a 'negative' showing as I'm sure he will regard it after the Dirrell perfomance. Talking about 'how you can never call a fight', I'd expect Froch to be saying he's going to knock Kessler out, especially given Mikkel is giving it lemons back talking about knocking Froch out in 2.

I think he just wants a better victory over Kessler than Calzaghe, just to prove a point.

I too am concerned with Froch's mentality at the moment, and learning that he's carrying an injury into the fight - never heard him sound so down pre-fight. Hopefully he gets the job done saturday night.

There is no injury, he just cannot win and he isn't delusional enough to think otherwise.

Look at his eyes, he looks ill from fear. Kessler is a much more handsome man, especially this weekend, with Froch having an aura of offness about him.

Worried myself Froch is never this bad before a fight. I think Froch is getting tired of Hennesy bull****....looking at the terms of this fight and what Froch has had to give up practically EVERYTHING WBC on the line but not WBA (who agreed to that SHITE), no fans, hometown judges etc... he needs to get rid of Hennessy. Personally think if Froch was wityh another promoter he wouldnt be in this predictment. Looking at the terms it looks to me that Hennesy has really stuffed Carl Froch it loooks like Frochs being sent to the lions hut to be slaughtered....I hope the cobra gets his venom back.
