Froch's only asset is his chin

I really like watching Carl fight. lol Leaves his chin hanging on a plate. Lets you throw your best punch at it and tries to catch you with his bomb while you come in. He knows what he is doing. Its just that most fighters dont have that kind of confidence in there chin.
I agree that Taylor is class but it was'nt long ago that he did'nt have the tools to keep the limited but strong Pavlik off him. The best Taylor could do in the second fight was survive.

I'd rather watch a Bika fight than Winky fight, but that doesn't make Bika quality.

Froch's got an entertaining style but the verdict's still out on how long it will allow him survive at the top.

If by "survive" you mean "win 5 rounds and impress most boxing media and fans with his comeback performance," then ok.

  4. BigReg said it best when he likened Carl Froch to being England's Margarito - that statement has alot of resonance with me while time may very well validate it.

I don't think half the boxers in 168 could have taken the licks Carl did nor dished out the physical punishment he did - he'll do well and take his slice of the 168 pie at the very least.

Also, Taylor needs to fight Froch in England not the USA like he has stipulated to his promoter. Carl's the champion not Taylor; Carl NOT Taylor; Taylor comes to the champion not the other way around.

You know how often I have called bull**** on comparisons between Winky and AA, but in this case, you are absolutely correct!

I don't think it's his ONLY asset but it's his MAIN asset. He has power,a good jab, heart and a big will but in rest he is pretty bad,his footwork is terrible, his head movement is inexistent as his body movement, his legs are a little slower than a brick wall.He has many flaws.

Never heard of the difference between an optional and a mandatory? Never heard of a purse bid?

He has other good qualities as well. He has decent heart, he has a good workrate, he has decent power. I don't think his positive attributes are enough to compensate for his glaring negative attributes, but I don't think that's news to anyone. In my mind, and it's been the case for a while, he clearly gets beaten by Kessler, Bute, Taylor or Inkin. Bika's about a 50/50 fight as well.

:lol: You'll have to excuse me it was 3:00am and I had a baby screaming in my face. But now that you mention it, that's a good way to describe those guys :yep. Imagine Andrade vs Froch. Two guys with chins of stone swinging for the fences. It would be like watching the Terminator fight the Hulk.

Exactly my thoughts. Until he does beat either Bute or Froch he is still in my eyes the fighter that could of been.

Granted Froch has iron whiskers, but he only has one more fight like that in him against a world class opponent, after that he is done...

He gets hit too much flush and although he realised it after the fight, he cannot change it...He is a sick man that enjoys being in a tear up...

I will watch his career closely because there is money to be made, at some point backing against him...
